New Age Version of the Rapture

The Rapture: The New Age Perspective
According to the Bible there will be a future time when all of the believers in Jesus Christ are taken off of the earth to heaven to be protected from the time of terrible tribulation known as the Day of the Lord. This miraculous rescue is described in a number of Biblical passages such as Matthew 24:36-42,
"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming."

And also 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17,
"For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air..."

The secular media approaches this far-out belief with much patronizing glee, seeming to ask, "What person in his right mind would actually believe such ridiculous nonsense!?" The truth is that there are many people other than just bible-thumping Christians who believe in a very similar future event:

New Age guru David Spangler writes that "those attuned to the old world" will be "transported through the [cosmic] law of attraction" to "another planet, plane of existence or level of earth's consciousness where they can be contained... the main point is that they will lose, for the time being, their access to the etheric planes of power and the ability to control or influence the developments upon earth." (Revelation, Birth of a New Age, pp.163-4)

Best-selling New Age author, intellectual and promoter John Randolph Price was told by his spirit guide Asher, that in the near future two billion people who could not cope with the reality of the New Age would be wiped off the face of the earth during the future "cleansing" period. (1)

New Age channelers and gurus around the world predict an event very similar to the biblical rapture, yet from their point of view the rapture will not be an event which rescues God's faithful from His impending wrath on a wicked world, it will instead be an event that removes those who lack the proper spiritual vibration. It is said that those taken are those whose beliefs are characterized as "intolerant," "fearful" and "of the past." From the New Age perspective the rapture is seen as a global "cleansing action" that will remove "dark thought forces" to allow the earth to ascend to a higher plane of existence.

Barbara Marciniak is another well-known New Age channeler who predicts this event. This woman claims to have been telepathically contacted by aliens who come from the star-system of the Pleiades, and she has written numerous books on the messages that she has channeled from them. These spirit beings tell her a number of things regarding the future "shift in consciousness,"

"If human beings do not change -- if they do not make the shift in values and realize that without Earth they could not be here -- then Earth, in its love for its own initiation, is reaching for a higher frequency, will bring about a cleansing that will balance it once again. There is the potential for many people to leave the planet in an afternoon." (2)

"The people who leave the planet during the time of Earth changes do not fit in here any longer, and they are stopping the harmony of Earth. When the time comes that perhaps 20 million people leave the planet at one time there will be a tremendous shift in consciousness for those who are remaining." (3)

"Some of you want to pretend that the earth changes are not occurring. However, they are occurring, and there is nothing to fear, for they are part of the process of the great shift... Whether you stay on the planet and alter your vibration, or you check out and sit in the bleachers to watch the show, doesn't really matter. On some level, in some avenue of existence, you will participate and you will learn." (4)

Thelma Terrell is yet another New Age author and trance-channeler. Also known by her spiritual name of "Tuella," she wrote a book entitled Project World Evacuation. They are messages channeled from a being who calls himself Ashtar, the leader of an alien confederation, and throughout it are documented the predictions that this spirit being has made regarding the future "evacuation" of a significant number of human beings from off of the surface of the earth. (5)

As New Age spirituality becomes more widespread the practice of channeling inter-dimensional beings increases as well. The internet is full of countless websites dedicated to this anti-biblical practice of contacting the spirit world. These sites document even more channelings which predict a future "cleansing action," "evacuation," or "transference" of a segment of humanity to another location.

Sheldan Nidle operates "The Planetary Activation Organization," based in Maui, Hawaii, which is dedicated to preparing the world for extra-terrestrial contact. His website contains articles which refer to an evacuation of certain people to special mother ships of the inter-galactic fleet. He writes that these people will then go through a special "orientation training" before being released. In another section one of Nidle's "lightworkers" asks him if New Age meditations and rituals might make an evacuation unnecessary. Nidle responds that although the rituals are essential the evacuation must still take place. (6)
The Ashtar Command is another internet-based organization that claims ET connections. They make mention of an "ascension" process that goes through several phases. The second wave of Ascension is described as "the beginning of the evacuation," but the timing of this event is not given because the announcement of dates "is not permitted." This group also recognizes the Lord Maitreya as the "current planetary Christ." The Ashtar Command has branches all over the world including Norway, Brazil, the Netherlands, Germany and the United States.

Certainly the world would have to produce some answer if a large number vanished. Many may not buy one from New Age sources so add some science and maybe UFOs it may work.

Not all Christians believe in a PRE-Tribulation Rapture. There is a small number who believe in a POST-Tribulation Rapture. The rapture occurs on the Last Day.

I believe there will be a real rapture and this may be what they have planned immediatly to explain the disappearance of the Christians .

This is funny for this reason. Go to the 9/11 conspiracy section and put up a thread like this and you would get a reaction.
If you said it was possible to project a plane flying in the air, as a holographic image, people will attack you for being insane.
As far as the rapture, I think it does not have to be based on any reality, to be affective.
If people even think about it, they will have done their job.
There are people who worship the earth and hate people.
Of course they will not kill themselves. They want to kill other people, to save the earth.
This is far from being "new" at all. It is an old idea that is documented to the oldest writings.
The United Nations Study on Biodiversity has already recommended the re-institution of human sacrifice.
The earth worshipers are trying to direct hatred in people against others who they feel are harming the earth.
They are to cowardly to kill someone who can fight back, so they are gradually getting people to accept the government taking over the role of doing the work, "for the earth".

there is no rapture and we do not go to heaven when we die-----you can find no such words in the scriptures pertaining to us.
matthew24:36-42 the flood took all the unrighteous away to their deaths---not to heaven.
1thessalonians4:16-17the people of G-D--------those living and those that are resurrected from death-----rise in the clouds to meet Messiah in the air which is a part of this earth-----not heaven.
they all then descend with Messiah down to the mt. of olives (acts1:9-12).
zechariah14:4 continues this story------verse 16/17 shows that Messiah is in jerusalem in Person ruling as its King.

I do believe there was holographs used on that day 911 ,I am not saying that there wasnt planes used,just that there was certainly some trickery going on .
I dont know if you read my post somewhere (cant remember where it is lol )where I talked about that demon face in the smoke.For sure I believe that was a holographic image .

I made this little video about some trickery that CNN did on the night of 9/11/01 when they played the video you are talking about.
The purpose was to get the maximum amount of mental trauma out of the event, against the people.
They did this trick of pretending to have problems and messing up when they played the tape.
They acted like they were rewinding the tape, live, on the air.
They were really playing a part of the rewind as part of the whole tape.
This is kind of hard to understand but the rewind was added to the tape of the plane crash.
They were not rewinding live but playing the tape forward, with the rewind as part of the tape.
They found something scary in the rewind, when it becomes all pixelated, that they wanted people to see.
I know because I took the tape of what was being broadcast and studied it frame by frame and they played the exact same thing, three times.

Now thats creepy ..

I'm so glad you made a thread on this topic. I had been wanting to since joining ATS but I grew tired of the anti-Christian ridicule. It seems even Satan is aware there will be a rapture and he is working over time to plant the seeds of alternate explanations concerning the disappearances.

There are so many things being spoken of in new age circles and among alien cults. The two main explanations can be broken down into the following:

1). The 'bad' people (read: real Christians) who are holding mankind back from our next stage of spiritual enlightenment and development will be removed (either taken to another planet or into another dimension) so the 'good' remnant can progress into the next phase.

2). The good people who already reached enlightenment (this will come in handy if children are taken in the rapture as many teach because nobody would believe innocent children are 'bad' and in need of being taken away for the good of humanity) are rewarded by being taken to another dimension or planet while the rest of mankind still in need of spiritual learning will be left to achieve their own enlightenment.

Thats one of the main reasons why I believe now 100 % that there will a rapture and it all sort of makes sense now on how it will come down and what will be said about what happened to all those pesky believers and how that fits right in with the plans of the Antichrist .

I have always believed there will be a rapture the when is what I am still digging into to learn.It really doesnt matter to me when all I know is this world and the people in it are sinking to a depth of wickedness that scares the living crap out of me .I fear for them more than I fear for myself .
No good can come from whats happening to people right now and what they are all doing to eachother (Hating,and being angry and venegeful).
Thats looking at even rationally without my Christian glasses on .If you know what I mean .

Just as a little footnote on 9/11, the man who was talking there, and anchoring for CNN that night was Derek Utley who was gotten rid of after some allegations of sexual harassment surfaced.
He was right in the middle of whatever media involvement in government trickery that was going on, and the guy just disappears.
Another one of those things that make me say, Hmmmm.

I wish you would go to the Rapture 2008 thread where I spent a very long time showing the reasons whyI believe there is a Rapture using scripture,the Jewish Harvests and the Feasts and even explaining about the Wedding Traditions of the Jewish people compared to how the Lord describes his wedding to be like I do not have the time to post it all again here .

Alot of people (especially believers ) do not dig enough into their bibles and they do not cross reference neither do they actually read it word for word and put it all together (they take it out of context).thereby missing the whole picture..

For instance ..many believe that the last trumpet of Rev.is the same last trump of God that it talks about in Thess.
What they miss is that at the time that letter went to the Thess. there was no book of Rev written at that time .In fact John was more than likely writing it about the same time that letter came out.So Paul could not have known about those 7 trumpets .Also in Thess is says the TRUMP OF GOD .it is God who sounds that trumpet (just like he did at the Mountain when he told the people to come to and he will speak to them) ....
In Rev ...it is Angels who blow those 7 trumpets ..Not God

So how can those be the same trumpets ?

They are not contradictions they are people reading it wrong and not seeing the key words to help determine that they cannot be the same event ..

Same as the scriptures that say
Only those who look for him will see him
And this one
Every eye shall see him
How can those two events be the same events ?
They cant be they are both opposite of eachother in their descriptions

My opinion of those scriptures is that one has to be talking about
People looking for him before the rapture will see him at that gathering in the sky (Rapture)
And the second one is at his second coming when every eye will see him
TWO DIFFERENT EVENTS that seem to have merged into the same event .
Which is impossible that those two events could be the same events

In fact there was so many discrepencies and things that was shown and said etc etc that no way can anything that confusing be true .And so full of holes etc that it is unreal .And of course unbelievable ..But of course I am sure that TPTB was really hoping that everyone was dumbed down enough or drugged enough or drunk enough that they wouldnt see the discrepencies and outright bs they were feeding us all .
Another nail in the coffin for me that day was someone played a video with Osama on it where he said he did not do it .Then a few days later another video shows up and he says he did do it .First of all ...every single terrorist event that has taken place in the world in the last century or more they always take credit for it right off the bat .No matter how horrid it was they say yes we did it because that is why they do it for the credit and glory ..
If Osama did do it I believe he would have said he did it right off the bat ..but he didnt...
And to me that meant that second video could not have been true ...No terrorist would do that (say no then change their mind and say yes) that is just rediculous especially knowing they always admit when they did something.
I also believe that the first video where he said he didnt was only shown once on that day or the next day maybe ..it was only shown once like real quick ..someone in the media at that station (cant remember which one it was) showed it on purpose trying to tell us something was amiss .in the only way they knew how (yes I believe some in the media knew something about what was happening ) ............
Just like some who took part in the whole 911 event knew something was amiss all day long they just didnt put it all together because so much happened that day it was surreal and had everyone in a fog.

Truth to me is the only thing that isnt confusing and that whole day everything was a confusing mess ...Especially the inconsistancies in the Official anouncements from our Gov and the Media ...

I have a strange feeling to after watching the videos of the firemen and listening live to their recordings as events unfolded (Like I heard a bomb etc etc ) I have a feeling thats why most of them didnt actually make out alive .

Actually it is on topic. What you end up with is this network of global elite who have been consolidating their power in the world.
The people who are fighting it is Iran and Russia. After the fall of the Soviet Union, these New World Order types moved into Russia and tryed to take over their resources and put their own people into the Government.
The main NWO puppet got put in prison by Putin.
The problem is that the countries under the NWO, like the US have a technological advantage in weapons and they have gotten to where they think they are invincible. They are pushing hard on Putin and are basically doing to him what was done to the Japanese before WWII, to provoke them into a war.
To offset this advantage the US has in precision guided munitions, the Russians will use tactical nukes. That is not a guess, but what Putin told us.
So, these fools, who have their bunkers to hold out in, do not care if we all get killed and would like to start Armageddon.

Jm I believe those are all real possibilities ..

I would add the whole Middle East and China and all the Asian countrys and Lybia and Ethiopia and Africa with the Russians ..they all want world super power status.I dont even doubt if the EU backs em all from behind the scenes (they always have their hands in the pot trying to out do the UN)

This all to me is about world power and someone ONLY ONE will win and they will all MERGE as one after this war that is comeing .

Most people do not realize that we are living in a military dictatorship. They mention it every once in a while by saying the word NorCom on the news. That is the North American Command, that runs the country. The government is just for looks and has no power in itself but follows commands handed down from the military administration. We are in a war, right now, to take over the world. it is nothing other than the old system that manifested itself in Nazi Germany. It is connected to all the occult elements and aliens and every form of evil imaginable. There will be casualties involved in this war as collateral damage. Evil demons have possessed men to bring about a global domination.
My personal opinion is that the antidote to all this corruption is faith in Jesus. There is a reason why most of the miracles that he performed was casting out demons. We all need to be firmly grounded in Christ in order to not have our faith shaken. Study the Bible and find out what all that stuff in the book has to do with us as individuals.
I used to think I understood the Bible pretty well and did not need to read it but you find out how little you really know, when you get into an argument about religion. You have to look at what the Greek and Hebrew words are that got translated into English. You will find out that a lot of your ideas are based on things that are not even in the original. I have been finding a lot of these lately.
Anyway, the purpose of all this demonic activity that is on the rise in the world is to make people loose their belief in Christ. It is not good enough to just kill us all. They want our souls and too many people are too ready to hand them over. They like to whine about how their church lied to them or something and do not get it together to work out their own salvation, like Peter advises. It is not good enough to belong in an organization, as if it is going to save you. Anyone who is serious about being saved needs to start out by realizing that one in a hundred is going to make it. You have to know that you are doing more than the next 99 people if you want to endure to the end. Most people just want to sit there and listen to some happy talk about getting taken out of the trouble. John was in the spirit taken to the temple in heaven and saw the souls of those who were killed for their faith in Jesus, under the alter. So, if anyone thinks that they are not going to be at risk are deluding themselves.

Satan will love deceiving many into thinking that they do not have to put the time and effort in studying the word of God and not discerning the times.

Those that believe in the pre trib rapture are forgetting many bible passages that have gone before.

moses in a basket, safe whilst the others killed
Passover
Noah and the ark
the battle of Jericho a women is safe whilst the battle is all around
slaughter of the guilty in Ezekiel 9

I think one thing to remember is that satan can transform himself into an angel of light. Not only that but read the following

Matthew 4:5-11 KJV

5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple

8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain,

IMHO satan takes Jesus to these places but not on foot,as he set him.
