And what makes Wicca a cult religion??? What is your definition of cult???

I hear Kristjians calling basically any religion other than their own cults. I want to see what they mean. Being a pagan, I understand that Kristjians view my practice as false, but please remember, my ancestors practiced Native American Shamanism (a pagan religion) long before Kristjianity ever started.

Wicca is not a cult. It is a religion. The main deities of Wicca are the Goddess and her consort, the Horned God. They have many names and manifestations, but "all gods are one God, and all goddesses are one Goddess."

Before you go putting the cult label on other religions, remember that the Romans called the early Christians cultists too.

And no, I'm not Wiccan, just an eclectic Witch.

Hmmmm, seems that this particular set of definitions defines nearly every single religion out there INCLUDING Kristjianity. So, more or less, anyone involved in any religion is a member of a cult.

Add to that what Hecate said, and I think all is sumed up quite well.

Just another religion thread that a religionist got posted and should be moved. Religious discussion and conspiracy are a bit different. But then what can I say, just words in a post.

ET3 -

Since I posted the original post, I would like to answer your concern. I am new to this community and perhaps I should have posted this on BTS; however, if the powers that be have a problem with it's location (and so far they have not moved it or trashed it) then I'm sure they will take care of this situation.

There are a lot of things I see on these boards that I do not agree with. I, however, choose to let people discuss these topics, not interfer with their discussion or knock them down for their beliefs.

If you're not interested, don't read it!

I'm not saying the mods of this forum are not doing a good job or implying anything similar to that, but half if not 3/4 of the posts here have nothing to do with "conspiracies" and could have been made in the "Faith, Spirituality & Theology" forum on BTS.

So, instead of ranting because you didn't liked a particular post from someone (and, by doing so, not contributing at all to the thread in question - kinda like I'm doing right now - d'oh!), why don't you let them Mods judge if it's worthy of ATS or not?

I would have to say yes to that, ImAlreadyPsycho, each of the religious groups have their dogmatic rituals, thus is also a cult.

Hey, we found something to agree upon. That my friend is a good start. We can build from there.

I have no feelings toward anyone who practices any religion. I actually feel that when you get to the meat and bones of any religion, they are all technically the same. Save Satanism, which is only a form of ANIT- religion. Other than that, all religions have a "golden rule" of sorts, all have similar practices, similar gods, similar everything. Everyone should be free to practice what they like.

As far as somone casting a spell on you Truth, I would only be able to say that, what they sent to you will in time come back to them 3fold. The three fold law states that what you send out to the world will come back to you for both good and bad. In the end, they will get theirs, and for everyones sake, lets hope they do literally get it "in the end". I was not trying to come across to you as being nasty, as I know you were not. It was simply your ignorance toward the religion shining through. (please note that ignorance is not bad, quite the contrary, ignorance means you have not been placed into an evironment good for learning, ignorance is quite fine where I stand. It is those who choose NOT to learn that are the problem.)

May the great spirit be with you all.

Blessed Be

Whitewolf

Since the Spring Equinox is Saturday, how do Wiccans "celebrate" this event?

Don't they dance around a maypole?

I used to belong to a wiccan club, not for long though, grew out of it, and it's too much work, yes i'm lazy.
They had a witches ball and I would have to say that was best damn halloween party i've ever been to!
They really are great people. The good ones anyway.

You know what happens on message boards?
The people that do jump the gun and put down n flame people are nothing but lemmings.

I wouldn't worry about what people say. Those are the people who also don't know sarcasm or joke when it hits them over the head. They are so defensive, and that ruins message boards for everybody. Meaning that some people don't want to post because others are trying to censor them.

It's stupid I know, but you'll encounter stupid people everywhere you go, just fluff em off. Not to mention you shouldn't even give them the time of day defending yourself. They want confrontation rather then an intellecutal debate or conversation. And those my friend are small minds.

Whos that guy who said

"small minds discuss people large minds discuss ideas"

?????????????????????

Fkuc em.

Well it looks like some Mod is doing his or her job finally.
Too bad the definition for conspiracy has to be posted to prove what goes where.

BTW, the Maypole is traditionally a fixture at Beltane (May 1). I'm sure I don't need to explain what it represents.
