This is a photo taken at a cemetary in Victoria, Australia.

The photo is RAW.

It was taken by ME in 2007 in December.

The camera, Cannon A75, as you can tell by the Exif data.

What is this thing?

1 star, (as that is all I can give) too whoever gets it right.

There will be more pictures too follow, but give me time too post the follow ups after this image has been "debunked".

The hunt for truth is on, ATS.

Cheers and happy hunting...

Fox.

I see a graveyard with tombstones, a black sky, a flying bat, some trees and some dust particles.

Should I be seeing more?

My first impression on that thing on the right is that it's some kind of Bat.

edit: That and besides the obvious things mentioned by the above poster, there's a small red dot on a tombstone on the left side of the picture (the actual image is wider than what you see on this page lol.)

It is clearly a bat.

There is a bat native to Australia called the "Ghost Bat", but I don't think it has anything to do with the supernatural

Judging by the low-level of light in the picture (apart from the immediate foreground and the bat), the red dot is not that unusual. CCDs easily get confused in low-light.

And there is a rather faint 'orb', but in this case, as it is symmetrically opposite the bat, it seems to be a reflection of the bat in the camera itself.

Just to jump on the bandwagon:

It is a bat.

The wing structure, the shape of the body...hell, even the way in which it is flying is a dead giveaway.

Nice little 'illumination' on it though. If you hadn't said it was a raw picture then I would have thought someone added it in...and poorly.

Maybe that should be the real treat to this thread: Real pictures of the everyday can look, at first, to be fake. Perhaps we should be a little slower to yell fake at everything that is crisp and easily percieved.

No, well done.

Star for you, though that picture is easily explainable, if the wings were aligned perpendicular with the body... it maybe a different story.

I wonder if the next one is harder?

Different cemetery, different camera (digital, but of high quality).

We have no idea as too what this is, if someone can tell us, we would be VERY grateful.

It has been nicknamed the "Gabbit"... ghost, rabbit, see the connection?

I think this is the photoshop enlarge (not RAW) --->

link : i34.tinypic.com...

Though I seriously don't claim these photos too be supernatural, this one has us stumped, any analysis is appreciated.

Cheers, Fox.

EDIT: Sorry fixed code

If you're referring to the light blob, that's a moth.

You can clearly see the antennae and shape of the wings on the blown up version.

Yes, my camera seems too have a dead pixel.

As for the "orbs", here is a photo from my A75, same cemetery, same night. (RAW)

... My stance on "orbs" has always stood fast.

Actually, you maybe on too something there, sorry that I descredited your interpretation, it could be an insect?

Thanks.

My first idea was a moth too.
A big one, at that.

Yea, once again the obvious answer seems to be the right one.

That is a pretty average sized moth, especially for one of those creepy all white/powder looking ones...those things can get huge.

In my area they get to be much much bigger and if you were walking around a dark cemetary throwing light around you are bound to attract them.

I would have to agree with either a moth, or somebody dropped the camera.

Sometimes they end up producing strange results like that after being dropped; though a moth would make more sense looking at the shape.

I too thought it was a moth.

As for the orb one. I count at least 50 orbs, though there are only a few bright ones. Seems to be quite a lot for what people usually call flying bugs.

What is the point of this? This is a waste of time. There is nothing paranormal going on here.

These kind of images however, are often claimed to contain paranormal things.

As such he is simply showing us pictures to see how we will respond on what's on them.

Hence the whole "Testing ATS" in the title.

No, he is seeing if we will keep trying to come up with a logical explanation or if we will consider it paranormal.

It would also appear the images may get harder as more are posted.

There's something called rational thinking. There's nothing paranormal here and there won't be. This is a little game while he's on his high horse. He thinks he holds the secrets or that he's better than us and that he has the right to test us on things any rational human can see are not paranormal. As if the people on this forum are all crazy and will dismiss common sense. This is an insult to your nature. Maybe you'll stand for being talked down to but I won't and frankly I think he's an embarassment to this community.

I hope this topic gets locked or better yet deleted so OP will reap no benefits from this blatant attempt to humiliate both the members and staff of this forum.
