2 Simple logical reasons why CERN cannot destroy Earth by causing some massive black hole .

1) Not enough Energy.

Sure it may look like alot of energy, to us. But on a galactic or cosmic scale ; this is a joke. Just think about it. We havent begun to barely tap into that kind of energy yet. So no black hole , yet. We will need far more energy than this.

Compare the size of earth to the size of the sun. Look at the miniscule amount of energy the entire combined human race can produce. We hardly are even a speck of energy yet.

Amassing the energy required to destroy earth, and in turn our solar system, is far greater than anything we can tap into this early in our civilizations advancement (technologically speaking). We would need to at least be around Type 2 Civ on the scale.

2) Aliens.
Sure laugh all you want, but theres enough hints around to point to the existance of aliens "watching" the events unfolding here on earth. No one knows for sure, what the purpose of this is tho.

Whatever the truth may be, and whatever it is the "aliens" plan to learn by watching the events at earth, they would have it in their best intrests to prevent a black hole. So of course they are aware of CERN and certainly they would monitor our communications channels closely. Therefore they look at CERN and laugh, thats no where near the energy needed to create a black hole capable of destroying Earth!.

In the event we somehow were able to tap into enough energy to destroy Earth, I have high hopes and feel quite certain that "they" would prevent it, purely for their own self-intrest. They have something to gain keeping things from self-destructing.

I derive that theory from the mountain of declassified documents thru FOIA requests that give direct hints towards aliens Deactivating nuclear weapons many times, as if in a pattern. Like they wanted us to know, they control the situation here.

If you are religious, you could claim it is "God" who would stop us from creating such a event as a black hole that eats earth, but I would simply reply that Sure God would stop that event, by manifesting aliens who would deactivate such technologys.

But at that point, the Aliens would confront us face to face and explain how freaking stupid we are.

So in summery, those are your 2 best reasons to go to bed tonite with, so you wont be freaking out over a CERN black hole catastrophy next week.

I know I will be sleeping just fine

And when the dust settles, After the Expierments. Ill get to rub it in

Even if the world did end, you wont be able to get me back for being wrong hahaha

CERN is a particle accelerator. We already have a number of them. This one is special because it is bigger. That is all. In the event that they can open a WORM HOLE, not a black hole, it will close itself instantly because it simply does not have the energy required to keep it open. In nature these things NEED black holes to sustain themselves for ANY period of time. Like the OP said, we simply cannot create that sort of energy. Afterall, everyone knows that a black hole is created by what was once a STAR, right?
The idea is to punch one open and send something, a particle, through it. This will give it the SMALLEST AMOUNT of extended life. These experiments are just to see if this is even POSSIBLE. We are still a VERY LONG ways from creating ANYTHING that poses any SORT of a threat.

edit to add that i agree with the op. just giving my two cents.

Yup, we are not the only ones on this planet so I'm sure the aliens who live underground are thinking 'oh geeze, those crazy monkeys are trying to blow things up again. We better go keep an eye on things.' I'm sure there will be several alien species monitoring this event, and the more advanced ones already know how it's going to unfold.

Doom and gloom aside, this is an exciting time! Only 10 more days till she fires up. I can't wait to hear what new discoveries are made!

Up to a certain and yet small percent the both of you are right. Except, did either one of you was present when the "big bang" occurred? Yeah, I thought so. I am not saying that CERN has created the REAL DEAL, but we can not assumed that because it is not up to the scale of what we NOW know as the Universe, it is not how the 'universe' was created.

I am not saying a second universe will be created, but as you already know the universe is still expanding as I am typing this. So, did the universe began as a small, minuscule bang? I don't know, and it is not for me to judge that but, this first point from the first OP is untrue, and the second? Well, that I believe, but then again, I don't know any Alien nor was I abducted to judge that either.

If we knew what the test of CERN will be all about, we wouldn't be posting anything in relation to that. So, we will just wait and see. You may be right that it doesn't have or create enough energy to destroy Earth, but knowing US Humans, we could be destroying ourselves as we have being doing for so long. It is just a matter of time before the BIG BANG happens in our Earth (and by that I don't mean, creating a new universe).

I have spoken!

A person can always make that argument because in essense, nobody truly KNOWS anything. However, you are neglecting the years of accepted scientific inquiry it took to even get to this point. These ideas are all based on the work of people like Albert Einstein. In fact, without the work of Einstein that has become evidenced, verified, repeated and accepted these experiments would be impossible to even phathom. So yes, I can say with certainty that we don't have enough energy to plug into the machine to cause any sort of catastrophic damage. Don't let the ignorant sway you from good science.

It wasn't ignorance, it is what I believe! I am not Einstein nor will I ever be, but Einstein came to be only a few million years after the universe was created before he experimented with what he believes happened.

So, since you are taking Einstein (and all other scientists) side, you are telling me that ALIENS, don't exist because they defy the law of gravity? Because Einstein said so, is what is? Talk about ignorance!

That post was so misguided I don't even know how to respond to it. What I said was that these experiments are a direct result of Einstein's proven and accepted relativity theory.
I don't know how in the world you gathered from that that I believe that aliens don't exist.
In fact, one of the exciting potentials of this groundbreaking work is how to BEND Einstein's speed of light constant law!
Defying gravity is easy enough, T.J. Brown showed that many, many years ago.

The Atomic bomb was to ignite the atmosphere with the UV
energy generated.

See the top Illuminati were reading from Tesla's notes.

With a coil big enough one might cause more damage than
CERN ever will, or Atomic bomb for than matter.

The ability to move planets was now possible as Tesla said.
What else would he be talking about except one of his coils.

two words tokomak reactor....... can contain 50 million degree plasma so i think we should be able to hande strangelets black holes worm holes and the occasional pontificating asshole

and on a side note enlightenedone we do have fairly good guesses as to how the "big bang" started and none of the theories im aware of say it was from particle collisions, it actually seems the best theories now are two "branes" colliding in 10, 11, or 26 dimensional hyperspace (different # of dimensions in each theory)

and personally i cant wait till cern gets underway the possibilites of finding the higgs-boson, sparticles, tachyons, and the miriad of other things they could discover may finally give us the insight into the big bang that we need so desperately in physics right now since high energy particle physics has come to a near stand still with string, and "m" theories

Your quote:

Afterall, everyone knows that a black hole is created by what was once a STAR, right?

Nuclear burning in stars stops at iron, Fe.
Where do the rest of elements come from, star explosions?
Of interest is that iron, Fe, captures the ether quality of magnetism.
How these things happen is of interest.

Chandrasekhar,
"An Introduction To the Study Of Stellar Structure"
wrote on the stars collapse to a white dwarf.
Larger stars lose electron pressure and evidently become invisible.

On a Tesla note, one of his wave indicators detected microwaves
being emitted by the earth. He found many particles being emitted
by high voltage, he was the first to discover X-Rays because he
worked with high voltage generation.
His studies were locked away by the Illuminati.
He may have discovered the elemental ether particle.

Hey I just had a thought.

Maybe this experiment will send out a huge magnetic signal which will give away our location to Aliens who are searching for us.

So it MAY cause the end of the world if they're intent on malice.

If Tesla couldn't find any 'aliens' I doubt CERN will find any.
Tesla was the first to make 'alien' contact.
'They' told him all about free energy and the ether.

Tesla was the one man 'they' trusted to help planet earth.
Once Tesla built Niagara Falls with the 'alien' ether technology
of magnetism, the American Illuminati did not what any more
'alien' ether energy from Tesla.

However, Tesla sold the 'alien' ether technology to Germany in
1914. this may have caused WWI. Again before WWII, Germany
received more Tesla 'alien' ether technology.

Finally after Tesla died in 1943 the 'alien' ether technology came
to America in New Mexico 1945. Nations signing the 1955 treaty
on 'alien' ether technology enjoy what Tesla made for us.

hehe this seems relevent.. as i had my 3 senarios of what would happen .

we will either.

1/ be sucked into a black hole, and well, it could all be over in a blink so who really cares, we wont, we will be dead!

2/ the world will get destroyed, but the good old universe will split into 2 dimensions, one will die and the other will live in an alternative dimension where it all went ok and we will not have a clue that anything bads actualy happened.

3/ they will discover some funky particles and enhance technology and our understanding about space.

really, its win in, if we die we will never know about it and if it works then even better!

The LHC collider is a proton accelerator. Protons are hydrogen atoms stripped of their electron. These are then basically smashed into each other and the detectors pick up the results. The generally accepted theory for black hole formation is the gravitational collapse of massive stars so that the protons and electrons in each atom in the star are forced together to form neutrons which are then compressed together.
So no electrons in the LHC means no neutron formation, so no possibility of a black hole. And that's without even considering the sheer number required.
