i was thinking in a similar vein, when i came across your post. i was listening to one of the guest pundits on CNN--didn't have a chance to catch his
name; who stated that the storm presents an "opportunity" to get things right this time. opportunity?
what possible motives could there be, if weather is being controlled?
i try to see both sides of things, so i am just throwing this out. not sure what i believe.
just some random thoughts....
1.) a chance for the bush regime to get it right this time?
2.) the final deluge to force poor people out of new orleans for good?
3.) the continuance of the economic destruction of this country?
4.) prelude to the great depression of 08?
5.) louisiana is a blue state- usually the wealthy are republicans. political agenda?
6.) decrease oil production capacity to counter declining demand?
i noticed this time that bush is going to crawford tx to monitor the storm. during katrina, he was there, but on vacation.
i am from pensacola and been through storms most of my life. the beach always gets the brunt. before Andrew in south florida, the beaches always
remained opened afterwards, but then FEMA got involved. after Opal, it took months for the residents of pensacola beach to be able to return. all the
hype about looters. anything that could have been salvaged was ruined under the protection of military law.
P.S. it's not fair to call the people stranded in new orleans looters, when some were dying of dehydration.
