Finally, someone else is backing up what I have been saying all along. Bible prophesy states that Israel and the A-rabs will have a nuclear war sometime soon, the next prophesy to be fulfilled. That will have a major effect on the makeup of the ME. Israel, IMO, and since they are already pushing the button, will probably also eliminate Mecca, and thus Islam. This will have an impact on our troops battling 'insurgents', or criminals. This will end the war on terror, and they lose.

"Bible prophecy" can go jump for all I care when there's hundreds of millions of Arab (yes, it doesn't have a "-" in it) and Jewish lives at stake.

Besides, how does one propose two states have a nuclear war when only one state, Israel, has nuclear weapons?

Please, let's get away from this prophecy business, it doesn't help but play on some people's fantasy of being a "chosen one".

Fine let them do it. America doesnt need to get involved accept to lend money or weapons to Israel. No more American blood or money for Israel.

Israel will attack if Iran gets too close to obtaining the bomb. They have been running major excercises within the last few months and I am positive they are planning for all eventualities, as any responsible nation would do. Iran holds the key to containg this; even some of the hard line mullahs are getting pissed at Ahmenijhad for isolating Iran so much. (wow)
I'd also like to state this is my second post and I appreciate the news regarding this volitile situation. I am still learning how to post my sources...I will find the story on the Mullahs anger asap.

Greg, Are your serious, we will win the WOT, well you have not won in Iraq after 5 years or Afganistan and one thing is for certain a war with Iran will mean decades of terrorism thats if we have not all been nuked in the first place by Russia and China.

Israel must be the most hilarious state in the world. To kill as many people as they do per year, they have the gall to "sweat" someone else. No, bible prophecy does not say that Israel and the Arab states will have a nuclear war. Your personal and extreme interpretation of the bible says that Israel and the Arab states will have a nuclear war.

Back on topic:

It seems that every day anymore somebody starts a thread on ATS about this happening or that happening and it is always sourced to a website with grave issues with reputability. Is Israel planning an attack on Iran? Perhaps, but to try and make an issue over it with such blatantly biased websites such as “infowars” is absurd. I suppose that there is no harm in discussing the possibility just as long as people keep the source in mind.

Bible prophecy is bollocks. It is absolutely flawed, and anyone using it as a guide to how things will play out is never going to know the truth.

Can we PLEASE stop using this bronze-age farmer's manual as anything more than a story book? It's retarded.

Well said , the human race has got to put some distance between itself and this fatalism.
When these "End-times prophecies" mix with Foreign policy , they slide towards ...... self fulfilling prophecy .
A pre-emptive (defensive ? ) attack , is a dangerous precedent to set.

Plucky, I agree with your statement. The reality of the situation is not logical in many ways, the first being that Israel, much as you say in this contex, is "hilarious" in their stance. However they do not stand alone by any means in fearing Iran getting nuclear weapons...arguments regarding who has a "right" to a bomb aside. I made my assumption of attack not out of desire for the event but rather based upon the Israeli history of repsonse regarding their national soverignty; in other words, what you said. Whatever the case, I still hope there is a way to resolve the fact that it is not in the worlds' collective interest for Iran to have nuclear weapons, imo. And yes, tonight is amazing in DENVER.

Something has made me rethink my position on the Iran war,

my partners Iranian, we were speaking to her brother in Iran on Friday night, and he said.. and i quote

'' people here are counting the days until Israel attacks ''

This threw me off, not because he was looking forward to hitting Israel, but because he was excited that someone might remove the government and bring freedom to the people.

I think its gearing up pretty quick at the moment.

Have you ever been to Israel? I've heard Jerusalem is actually quite amazing, and that the cultural clashes are completely overblown by the media in that part of Israel. That's mainly what I want to see, is Jerusalem, just for historical purposes...I want to see the history with my own eyes and so I can feel the environment...something that a History Channel special or whatever could never replicate. For Example, I may visit Washington DC...but it's home of terrorists, thieves and criminals (and I'm talking about Congress, don't even make me go into the other branches)

Actually Jerusalem is maybe the only good place there, but I don't like the Israelis itself. I was in D.C. too, but do you know what is the difference between the Israelis and the people of the U.S.? The Israelis are believing that they're some sort of superior race and you can see it on them. They're doing this even against the Jews too, whose are not living in Israel. Even my Jewish friends, whose was there said and experienced the same. They hate the Israelis too, because they're arrogant and dirty (Literally). The citizens of the U.S. at least are kind and happy. At least in the U.S. the Government and the Citizens are not the same. But in Israel, the Government and the Citizens are the same (At least around 95-97% are the same warmongering fanatics.)

I am a bit amazed by the posts from sheridan..
that is because I claim the same things about the Muslim people..
They are thinking they are better then everybody else they want islamic supremacy and world domination. I life in the Netherlands and when I read newspapers and the internet news sources, watch tv and listen to the radio.. and experienced for my self , we have more problems with Muslims then with the people of Israel in Europe.
Riots , violence , criminal activities, terrorist cells , drugs smuggling , all done by Muslims from especially North-Africa , Iran , Iraq, Nigeria and Turkey.
And they know our weakness dealing with them and that is that they use the genocide of jews in WO2 and take it so that they claim the same is happening to them , if we are trying to prosecute them. Okay there are people who are willing to do there best but that is such a small portion. they want sharia law in GB, France, Germany and in the Netherlands. there are tensions across Europe and that is because the intervention of the Iranian government who don't want Muslims to integrate into western society and they are sending radical Imams to our mosques who are corrupting the minds of people here . So sorry if your view of Israel is like that, the only way I can say I am a little bit offended by Israel's people is the miss use of WO2, okay there were people killed then for no good but don't use it 60 years later for making us do or not do things..
don't be surprised that an attack on or by Iran will lead to civil war in Europe and other places around the world.. But Iran must be dealt with that is for sure but I only want to say were it may and shall lead to. I am with no religion i am not for the israeli god or the islamic allah or what ever so its not that I am a israeli or a muslim and there for biased.
