WOW!!!!! I guess you'll be pretty well bummed out when Insane McCain wins
Yes I hate both sides in this battle. But voting for a pretty lady to be the first woman VP and then the first woman President of the USA is a good thing, another republical first!!!! And if you knew anything about the Presidency you'd know that just because she is a conservative and "might" become the President she would have no power to overturn a law. Only Congress can repeal a Law and only the Supreme Court can vacate a ruling. The last time I checked the Roe vs. Wade ruling had not been vacated (yeah that's technical jargon for all the legalese-challenged); so it doesn't matter if she's pro-life. Everyone should be pro-life any way. It amazes me how libs are so dichomatic, condoning the murder of babies on one hand and then condemning war on the other because of all the poor children that get killed.
And I hear that grizzly bear meat sausage is very tasty as long as it is processed soon after being taken.

This guy is a local "legend" in Anchorage -- Mr. Whitekeys. He ran a dinner-theater here that did satire on the state government -- and occasionally now does bits on the local NBC affiliate KTUU... Here is his bit about Palin's pregnancy...
Here's the local CBS affiliate's news story -- complete with locals reactions to her announcing her pregnancy...LOL, I love the guy at the end!

McCain is so old he is likely to drop dead from the stress of the inauguration. Unlike Obama, his Veep has a serious chance of becoming President. How can we seriously be expected to elect this neophyte President in waiting?
Real thin attempt to win over the Woman vote. Weak.
The 17-year-old unwed daughter of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is five-months pregnant, Palin and her husband, Todd Palin, said Monday in a written statement. John McCain’s newly named running mate confirmed the story after rumors circulated on the Internet that Palin’s 4-month-old son was actually her daughter Bristol’s child. McCain’s campaign told FOX News that the presumptive Republican presidential candidate knew about Bristol Palin’s pregnancy before he chose Palin as his running mate last Friday, and that Bristol is planning to marry the father of her child. The baby is due in late December. “We have been blessed with five wonderful children who we love with all our heart and mean everything to us,” the Palins said in the statement. “Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned. We’re proud of Bristol’s decision to have her baby and even prouder to become grandparents. As Bristol faces the responsibilities of adulthood, she knows she has our unconditional love and support.” The Palins asked the media to respect their family’s privacy. “Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family. We ask the media to respect our daughter and Levi’s privacy as has always been the tradition of children of candidates.” A McCain campaign spokesman told FOXNews.com that Bristol’s pregnancy was considered a “private, family matter” that had “absolutely nothing to do” with her mother’s candidacy. Sarah Palin’s son, Trig, was born in April with Down syndrome. Internet bloggers have been suggesting that the child was actually born to Bristol Palin but that her mother took responsibility to protect her daughter. Barack Obama also repudiated what McCain aides called a false and malicious smear, saying Monday that the reports have “no relevance to Governor Palin’s performance as governor or her potential performance as VP.” He said he would fire anybody in his campaign who spreads rumors about the situation. “I think people’s families are off limits, and people’s children are especially off limits,” he said. “This shouldn’t be part of our politics.” Asked about the rumors on Monday, first lady Laura Bush said she sat with Palin at the National Governors Association dinner in February and noted she was pregnant then. Focus on the Family President James Dobson, who strongly praised McCain’s selection of Palin as a running mate, said the Palin family is approaching the pregnancy exactly how his group recommends. “We have always encouraged the parents to love and support their children and always advised the girls to see their pregnancies through, even though there will of course be challenges along the way. That is what the Palins are doing, and they should be commended once again for not just talking about their pro-life and pro-family values, but living them out even in the midst of trying circumstances,” Dobson said. But the Palin family travails don’t stop at Bristol Palin’s pregnancy. Palin spokeswoman Maria Comella confirmed Monday that Todd Palin was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol in 1986 when he was 22. Sarah and Todd Palin, who had been high school sweethearts, were dating at the time. Sources close to Sarah Palin told the Christian Broadcasting Network that Todd Palin has been “forthcoming about the situation and has indicated that it was a lesson learned from when he was younger.” FOX News’ Shushannah Walshe and The Associated Press contributed to this report.
