I was going to add this to an existing thread I started last week regarding information overload as this may have some connection here, but I'll throw this out here anyway in the event someone else can offer their PoV.

I'll first talk about the odd experience and then discuss why I scribbled into the title about a possible CERN connection.

I was at a BBQ this past Saturday the 23rd. And like clock-work I immediately upon arriving grabbed for a cold beer (Corona), popped the cap and took a long gulp. I sat down and placed the bottle on the table in front of me where I was sitting. The single gulp put the level of beer at around an inch below the 'neck' of the bottle. Now this isn't a tale about celebrating my beer-drinking prowess. It's important to note however the level of beer at this point. After placing the bottle on the table, I watched the beer swish from side to side until it finally settled and was motionless. My mind wandered a bit as I stared at the bottle on the table. What happened next was really bizarre. The level of beer suddenly jumped up about an inch and settled at even level with the neck of the bottle. I actually saw this happen. I didn't turn away in that moment, or see it from the corner of my eye, it popped in that very moment as I stared at it. No one switched the bottle in that time and no one other than me was closest to it.

Now let me also mention that I wasn't drunk--atleast not yet--this was literally the first sip of a beer I had taken, nor was I on drugs, nor anything that would otherwise attribute to this experience. Could I have been daydreaming...possibly? I can't really explain it other than that it seemed to be real. Define real?

Anyway, I brought up CERN because I told this to a friend of mine who said that within hours of my experience CERN had tested something with their particle collider and I could have xperienced some sort of residual time shift effect, much the same as de ja vu. Now having friends that are up on alternative topics you tend to get explanations like this rather than something mundane like, "dude you must have been wasted." So the first place I thought to come to share was of course ATS.

I can't pinpoint the exact moment this happened in terms of time, but it was most likely around 10:00pm EST (my wife and I were late comers). I wanted to throw this out there to everyone not so much to hear back from you about possible explanations of what I experienced (i.e., You're crazy, put down the pipe, etc.) but rather if anyone else has had similar bizarre experiences these past few days especially around Saturday evening. Definitely a stretch...possibly worth a look.

This sort of thread was discussed the other day... If I am not mistake, they have not begun testing the LHC yet. I think it is scheduled for Sept 10th. At any rate, I wouldn't worry about it.

To be honest, and i'm sorry if this comes off as dismissive of your claims. But could the fact that the you took a drink that the residual alcohol mixed with your saliva slide down the inside of the bottle and re accumulated slowly back into the beer, hence making the beer appear as if it is actually filling up slighty? Just my two cents...

I thought about that, but the effect wasn't 'gradual' it literally jumped back up about an inch. I'm not advocating anything supernatural, it simply was one of the weirdest things I've experienced short of a dream. Almost as if time slid back for that brief moment but only the bottle was affected. If that makes sense.

Doubtful. It was only a one way trip for cals. Wait till they start going full up and smashing. Then we shall see.
