darn, they dont have any counties in my state on there.
you know, im listening to denver, and it is the butt-crack of dawn out west (approx 4:47 or 5:47AM over there).
usually .. they just speak numbers. "547", "1", "88", etc. lol.
and i thought me and my friends spoke in codes over the phone about sensitive info, these guys dont even talk, geez!
EDIT: Did you know it is common technology for police departments now to have scanners that can pick up ALL cellphone and landline conversations
occurring simultaineously within a mile or a 1/2 mile or a certain number of meters radius. So they can sit in one locale and pick up all the convos
in the area. Even this is a massive amount of calls to pick through, but in an extremely bad area, or if you're on the turf of a drug dealer, i can
see how you could find information as the police officer with the random scanner to warrant pulling people over and/or searching and stopping certain
people.
I just heard the dispatch lady say a guy called in saying he wanted to kill someone in his apartment, but decided to kill himself instead and drank
antifreeze, then hung up on the dispatcher. They gave the address, xxxx logan place, apartment #5, denver, colorado.
i should find the zipcode and send a letter saying, "Hey! hope you didnt die from that antifreeze!".
i just now heard a cop say they saw a guy smoking crack then he took off running
