He is a very smart man. I've seen him compartmentalize on the fly very well... What's the big deal in admitting that he got caught wiith his pants down?

It's ok though... History will be the vindication for those of us who see through the lies.

Ok the point is being lost... I know the jusdification of war is a lengthy one, but what I am trying to show you here is the libreal media protraying a struggling party, a party that can not remember what it said. And then afterwords they probably showed the Gallop poll that shows Kerry ahead by a wide margin. They have control you have to look at that before you go off judging people by ho w they are shown.

Wait for election time, you will see Kerry behind a big flag in front of a cheering chrowd and then they will show Bush, glum and depressed becasue his nation turned on him. Turned on the protection of the United States.

Don't see me as a full on Bush supporter, in no way am I there are many things he has done that I don't agree with. Patriot act for starters...

Alot of people armed saddam in the 80's. The Soviet Union, China, France and the US.

Right... I don't have much faith in these other governments either. They are all corrupt. Point being:

Saddam was useful up to a point and then became expendable. Are you saying that countries who arm other countries, then denounce them for their arms is logical?

If the powers that be want Bush gone, then he will be gone and the media will be used for that.

But, it's very laughable to me for someone to complain about the way Donald Rumsfeld is 'treated' by the media. This man is a master of deception. Believe that.

He has power, yes, but it is stooped shrot of the leftist media. So now we can all chant: "Down with CNN!!!"

I think the media is potraying a struggling party becuase THEY ARE a struggling party. It's too hard (even for them) to sugarcoat. You can't just launch a 'debatable' shock and awe campaign on national television without some serious reprocussions. As for the 'leftist' media... Who runs the media? Last I heard it was the CIA.

Joseph, I never said that arming and then later denouncing Saddam was logical.

I am not a fan of the Bush Administration by any means, but there just seems to be a tendency for people to blanket the US with the fault of arming Saddam. Those were Chinese and Soviet made AKs the Iraqi troups were carrying and Soviet armor that they were driving around.

Regardless of the reasons of our seizure of Iraq, I was just pointing out that a lot of other countries besides the US made tons of money from arms sales to Saddams regime.

Let's not forget the fact they somehow had new nightvision goggles during the war, also banned by the UN embargo. I think we learned some of these came from France and Germany.

A lot of countries have some very dirty hands in all of this. The UN may be the dirtiest in regards to money and bribes though.

I find it strange that people can't remember the things they say. If I were in public office, I would be damn sure I never forgot what the hell I said to everyone. People's words always come back to haunt them - and that is everywhere, no matter where you are in life. Always remember what you say. Think before you speak, thats the best advice - Rummy didn't take that advice and ssssstttttuttered. Unless he has a stuttering disorder, he was lying. Stuttering is the first sign that a person is lying.

Exactly. The question is not whether he was prepared to answer their questions or respond to their quotes. The fact is that he said "I've never said immediate threat," and then 10 seconds later they had a quote of him saying "immediate threat."

It doesnt matter if he wasn't prepared. It matters that he blatantly lied about something. If he can't remember saying something of such importance, that's bad politics.

Sorry Bush camp supporters, you can't defend Rummy on this one. The facts are there on video. He blatantly lied and you can't disagree with that.
