Before my deployment after 9/11 I attended a course taught by Duane Dieter called “Close Quarter Defense” that was a very effective H2H combat system. I know he had taught it too many different military units, with the SEAL’s adopting it as there unarmed combat training.

Jiu Jitsu is the overall most effective close quarter fighting system. It was developed by the most revered hand to hand combat force ever known on earth called the Samurai.

What they teach in schools today is not what they used to teach, but when it is taught in traditional manner, it is the best.

Most fighting systems today are "new" when compared to Jiu Jitsu
