Does Mars have an atmosphere?

Downloaded this from the ESA website.

The site describes what we are seeing as clouds casting shadows on the surface. I was wondering why, if Mars does indeed have no atmosphere as we are being led to believe, we are seeing clouds??

Also, notice the bright object on the left casting a long shadow! They acknowlege this but give absolutely no explanation...

We are not being told, nor led to believe that Mars has no atmosphere. Mars has an atmosphere, weather, etc.....
