One of my UFO sighting's... comments?

I feel that this community is generally an open minded place and wanted to share a UFO sighting with you all. Just wondering if anyone has any info, such as similar sightings, or where I can get information on this particular type of UFO? Or perhaps suggestions on what the object may have been?

This is a sighting I had in late 2002, somewhere in Australia. It happened so fast, I was watching the daytime sky sitting on a bench when this object streaked across a large portion of the sky, leaving a thick band of glowing white behind it. What sealed the deal for me though was that after streaking across the sky diagonally, it then made a sharp 45 degree angle turn and after continuing like this for a very short distance just disappeared. It all happened in a matter of seconds. I've attached a picture showing its path through the sky and the shape of the object (I'm not a very good artist), for those who are interested.

The object was pure glowing white and did have two little nooks in either side, separating the smaller semi-circle on top, from the wider bottom half of the object. It was like it just appeared out of no-where, streaked across the daytime sky and then disappeared...

It was completely silent, and blew my mind that day. It was a little smaller then the size of the moon, but still quite large.

Is no-one interested because it's not about a massive mothership cruising slowly overhead?

Hmm, weird. Did this glowing white look like what jets leave behind? Can you describe the white stuff more? Was it like mist?

If it was like mist, could it be that UFOs are indeed using steam power :O?

haha I doubt they're using steam power, whatever they are.

It wasn't like mist at all, it was very defined and straight, the streak it left behind was almost solid looking and glowing an intense white. I would have written it off as some kind of strange meteorite, except for the impossibly fast and angular turn it did, it was nothing like an aeroplane or anything like that

The streak actually looked alot like how it does in my little picture, very unnatural looking.
