There have been very few positive tests from any athletes but 4000 will be tested and they are chosen by the I.O.C NOT THE CHINESE!

I agree with newday, "Gene Therapy" is going to create super athletes and then soldiers. Your advantage will come from changes to your DNA not a shot of steroids. This will be virtually undetectable unless your blood work is constantly monitored from the time of birth. You will become a new person with a new physiology.

Many of my friends disagree with me but I believe Lance Armstrong is Patient Zero in undetectable Gene Therapy.

Definitely the best Olympics yet. Brilliant opening & closing ceremonies. The Chinese people showed great spirit, warmth and compassion and welcomed everyone with open arms and put on an excellent show. One people under one banner, with respect for all nations, cultures and creeds. A dream that will one day hopefully come to fruition throughout the entire world. We live in hope.

China has banned a lot of swimmers in the 90s for life because of steroid. They are serious when it comes to loosing face. I mean they had 8 years to prepare for these games, 8 years of intense training.

You say China has the worst record and hasn't been caught but hey so hasn't 1 single American. I'm pretty their record isn't so great either or so I think.

I don't know enough about what's gone on in the games to pass judgment, but I know the American media has been going INSANE with pro-US Olympic propaganda. They've been throwing loaded words and sentences left and right, there's been countless shots of US teams winning and all getting together for a big hug and hand-stacking, like "Go America! Triumphing over the rest of the world! Yee-haw!". The logical fallacies have been through the freaking roof in their commentary, too. I heard something like "The US team is hoping for a sweep in this event, but the such-and-suchians are looking to defeat us and keep us from our rightful victory!" like it's some sort of war. The political propaganda that comes with the Olympics is terrifying.

I saw a clip on 8/23 with someone from the IOC. He stated that 4 athletes had tested positive in drug tests and that all samples would be retained for some number of years (Don't recall the length but it was fairly long).

Not saying that drug residue might slip through though.

The main focus had been on the Chinese age issue.

Watching both American 100M relay teams blow it (bad passing) does seem to point to the fact that some stuff is just personal failure at the big moment.

So true leafdarking. These politicians and the media are truly ignorant. Time to tell these morons where to get off.
