I just watched a minute long segment on the Channel 10, Melbourne TV news about the Westall UFO encounter.

There's a new documentary due soon, so this was like a promo segment, showing a witness telling her brief story. They were calling for more witnesses to come forward.

If you don't know about the Westall encounter, here's a link to it.

What surprises me, is that ii was shown at 5.30pm on TV news. There has been a noticeable increase in UFOs within the Melbourne MSM this year. Look for an article in tomorrow's newspapers, considering that it made the TV tonight.

(VUFORS had a researcher attend the quarterly meeting, six months ago. We knew that the documentary was in the works.)

Nice One Tezz! Thanks for the heads-up on that one! Going to check it out now!

I didn't know you were a VUFORS member. I used to be also but have let it slip now for quite some time. I should join again. I loved the newsletters and meetings!

Is Judy still running things?

Judy isn't running things and it has slipped. I knew who she was, but she didn't know me.

They don't send out the bulletin any more. I've asked them about it, but they claim that they're understaffed. I won't dog on them here, as they probably do find it tough to produce the bulletin. However, it's a little silly to advertise four free bulletins each year as part of the member fee, when they don't mean it.

The meeting nights are hit and miss. Nothing much is new to me, as I see most of it here, although there are usually interesting local sightig reports that don't make any news beyond the local channels.

Without bagging them, they need a bit of a shot in the arm to pick things up, as they seem a bit stale, compared to a few years ago. If any of them are reading, then I'm trying to be constructive! If I had more spare time, I might try and help, but...

Anyway, back to the Westall story. I reckon if you watch 10 late night news, they will repeat the story. As far as I could see Ch 9 and Ch 7 did not cover the story, unless it was on Today Tonight or A Current Affair. To me, Ch 10 covers more of the oddball news, with Mal Walden looking like he's trying to suppress a smirk.

I was intending to watch the late news in the hope it would be repeated. Old Mal ehh.. talk about stale! obviously he's an expert on the topic to warrant the smirk? Thought not! LOL!

Went to Wiki to read the story. Very interesting! I'm amazed I'd never heard of it... or perhaps I did and forgot?

Shame to hear VUFORS has gone downhill. Judy was a nice lady... not to mention witty and savvy! I met her a couple of times after my sighting.

I'd certainly love to lend a hand on the newsletter if they need help or extra staff... If anyone from VUFORS is reading this, contact me via U2U!

The next VUFORS meeting is in a couple of weeks, first Monday of September. I'll be there, barring unforseen circumstances.

They're good people, they really are. I don't make myself too well-known at the meetings, I just sit and listen and sometimes stay back to say hi to a couple of them.

Paul Norman is a great bloke and I respect everything that he's done. He's a living treasure with a wealth of personal knowledge who's met with lots of old-time, big-name UFO people.

But, when he spent nearly twenty minutes at the last meeting reading from one of the Betty/Barney Hill abduction books, you could feel everyone zoning out and wishing that it was over. Paul's much better when he doesn't read! He started telling us about how he spent time with Betty, staying at her house, etc - which was interesting.

The only thing that I dread about this meeting is that I'm sure they said that Paul's due to finish his session with us... Far out, spare us! Paul, I totally respect you, dude - but take a hint, your ten minute stories are interesting, your twenty minute reading sessions are dead-set BORING!

I'm sure that Paul told us about his experiences when he went to investigate the Westall incident on a previous meeting night. It seems to be a very interesting encounter with the military hushing up everyone! I've known about it for years, I thought you would too, it happened closer to you, on your side of the town.

Where is the meeting being held in Sept? I may show up and rejoin. They obviously need support by the sound of things! However, I wouldn't be keen on listening to Paul read passages from the B&B Hill case, unless it's from Stanton's new book! (I haven't met Paul).

In the meantime - keep us up-to-date on this Westall Case if you hear any supplemental news. Very Intriguing! Perhaps I had heard of it but like I say, It's more than possible it's disappeared into some corner recess of my brain with 1000's of other UFO cases. Tezz - there's so many to remember!!! LOL!

Star & Flag BTW!

All these sightings are getting weird...do you think there is actually an increase or are more people open to the possibility of UFO's and reporting them etc....I dont think this is aliens imo anyway,so im wondering why the military etc are putting themself and technology in the spotlight so much...

VUFORS meet in the Royal Society Building at the top end of Latrobe St, corner of Victoria Pd. The building stands alone, with its own little lawn area surrounding it. You can free-park your car very easy on the streets around the building, when it starts at 8pm. Usually the meetings are over before 9.30pm. Sometimes they pad out some meetings by showing DVD segments. Some members stay and chat later, maybe up to an hour at the most. They have some second-hand books for sale, most are pretty cheap too.

If I had the time, then I would volunteer my services. I think that the committee is a little closed-shop, which isn't neccessarily a bad thing, but injecting new blood and new ideas might be confronting. Each September meeting is the Annual General Meeting, but I've never seen any elections held for the Board Positions. I don't think any one wants to nominate against the sitting members? They just carry on doing what they do from year to year.

You've got two weeks to think about going. The best thing would be to go there and see Tony Cook, the Secretary - he runs the meetings and does most of the talking. He's a good presenter and a fairly nice bloke. If you're able to help with the Bulletin in any serious way, I'm sure he would be interested. The last Bulletin I have is from September, 2007. They're so far off schedule now, it's a farce.

I bet that they have more information about the Westall case at this meeting, especially after the TV segment tonight. They'll probably have one of the researchers attend, as they have in the past. We're all waiting for the documentary!

It's a report from 1966, not a new sighting.

And over here in Western Australia, I've noticed more UFO talk on the morning sunrise show, but with those 2 idiots at the helm (mel and kochie) you are guaranteed a jovial, mocking report... They introduced 'a UFO expert' from one of the Uni's over there, and mentioned that he was "an expert from the UFO-oligy department" which he was quick to reply did not even exist as a department, and he was just someone who is interested and has spent many years looking into UFO's.

They lead him with a few run-of-the-mill questions that he (and the viewer) knew was suspect and merely for giggles, and it ended up with him saying he doesn't believe in UFO's but he does believe in life in the universe other than on earth.

But - at least - it didn't have the x-files music all over it with wishy washy graphics that in general UFO stories do.

Makes me wonder why, however, there is a current interest. Perhaps it is just the MSM's way of trying to latch onto a few more ratings points given the recent "Alien in my window" stuff..

Still, I'll be checking TEN's news tonight, we get the Eastern States version then, not the local news as we did at 5pm (when obviously there was nothing mentioned).

i havent seen any weird UFO sightings above melbourne's sky's lately but what I do still notice is alot of chemtrail activity in the sky, this arvo I saw 2 seperate lines being sprayed from the north to the south west, in between the cluds I could see them and they were much higher than the clouds were.

kinda unrelated, I apoligise, but would be interested in this VUFORS committe if you could tell me some more about it?

Yeah, I saw some type of vapour trail in the North sky this afternoon too, around 4.10pm.

If you want to know about VUFORS, turn up to the meeting in two weeks time. Monday, 1st September. I've typed everything that I can in this thread, without cluttering it any further. Click on the link to their website, which is in my OP.

Non-members are charged $5 to attend the meeting. Members have free entry, as we pay the membership fee. I think it's around $25 per year to be a member, which is chump change, but you don't really get anything other than free entry to the meetings for it!

I have asked some of my military contacts about Chemtrails . Where I live I notice the chem activity is greatest after a lot of ships have come through the wormhole . You can actually see them turn the chem on as they fly over the valley .
According to my source the main reason they do it under cover of civilian flights is to 'paint' any large cloaked craft to figure out how much traffic is in a holding pattern .

I know , I know , your all thinking I'm on the grog again but thats what Ive been told .

The bigger the 'storm' and the more traffic coming through ,the more they chem the next day . I hate it because it does cause chest irritation sometimes .

It might explain the bursts of rainy weather that we've had in Melbourne the past few days! Then again, that's just Melbourne weather.

I see more vapour trails in the sky these days, than I've ever seen before. They're not on a daily basis, but they're showing up more often. Maybe some of it is due to Avalon airport opening business with the Jet Star flights - more jets = more trails?

I'll have to take more care when I look at them, recon, to see if there's anything out of the ordinary. I'll let you know if I spot anything unusual.

I just read about the Westfall UFO encounter. This greenish metallic disc was pursued by 5 other unidentified aircraft and then circled. Where these 5 aircraft planes or UFO discs? With whom were these 5 aircraft associated with? IF anyone knows please let me know. Thanks.

Regular contrails dont spread out and create a haze like chem .
The euphemsim for chemtrails round here is 'soapy rain' .

Not all UFO's look like discs sarah ,thats a popular misconception. They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes . I dont know much about that report but I am told that there is a growing policy of running exercises uncloaked now so people get used to seeing diffrent types of craft operating in our skies .that or it could be our air defence chasing down an intruder .

I have seen 3 ufo's together one night, those that have experienced this will understand what i am about to say! The vibration of these ufo's were so close to me and other's, our teeth felt like they were going to fall out!!! They followed us home! I have seen these scout ships up close. The most amazing thing i have ever seen! I have also seen a shapeshifter. An evil female clarvoient that did not like me at all, she hissed at me and had fang's!! Her face changed like a deamon! Ghosts when i was 2 years old. 2 horrible men in black suits in my room! i was paralyzed, and could not move from the force of these creatues! Other things in the sky that cannot be explained! There is so much evidence in ancient history b.c, arts, music etc... Seek and you will find. The universe has an extrordanary way of showing you the truth if you wish to aknowleage what is really going on! So from the age of 2 i have had to deal with this #!!!! So wake up please! Please remember who made you and your soul. Aliens cannot create souls, just a # replica. They are playing god! they are not the creator of you. That keeps me fearless. It helps to know there are so many of you out there!! May the force be with you all on earth. You are a legend cris on a bike
