A Holland-based animal husbandry company is marketing a vibrator for pigs, to help make the experience of being artificially inseminated a little less cold and impersonal for the sows involved. The device in question is called the Schippers MS Reflexator, and is intended to be hooked up to a pre-existing sperm delivery system. According to a company spokesperson, the Reflexator creates vibrations that cause the sows to get wet "in no time." He explained: "People use vibrators and we thought: how can we bring this to pigs? Besides, our customers are always thinking of ways to improve the process of artificial insemination." In a stunning bit of irony, the first two American orders for the device didn't come from pork farms, but from Hollywood. "We got Roseanne Barr's order on Tuesday," claimed a source who refused to identify himself, "then we got Tom Arnold's order on Wednesday. And they aren't even on speaking terms! Actually, it may have some biological foundation. When the female (of any species) is brought to a climax, certain biochemical changes take place in the body (and uterus.)

This may make it easier for pregnancy to be achieved (true in humans, actually. The "afterglow" tends to leave the woman relaxed and lying down rather than getting up and wandering off. This aids sperm retention and increases chances of pregnancy.)
