Hi Guys,

Very amazed all you "gung ho" sniper didnt know this..

Have just analized the video very carefully. It is apparent that only 3 shots were fired.
Anyone ever heard of "Crack and thump"? Google it and you will find out.

Now the point is:
a: Did the first round fired actually hit the reporter?
b: Was it the second or third round that hit the reporter?

Lets have a look.

1. The average speed of a High Velocity bullet is 2350 fps (or 783 Yds per second)
2. The first shot lands almost immediately which means the "sniper" is within this distance.
3. If it was the third shot that hit her, then almost 3 seconds had passed.
This means that the sniper was over 2000 yds from the target.

Any sniper who can hit a target at that range is really good, even if it is only a flesh wound.....

Lets be constructive guys

I, personnaly think, the girl was hit. And I dont care what anyone of you say....

yeah I was an MP for 3 years, but I was also a DAT on the Abrams for four years. (Now Im in the Air Force, yay!)

I do remember not always signing for weapons when I was on tanks, but someone signed for them. I may not of signed for them but the section leader, tank commander, platoon sgt, someone signed for them.

When we cleaned weapons most of the time it was just like you described.

I do agree with your point about riffles. Bullets are not lasers and dont shoot like lasers, ever.

I have a video of Marine snipers in Afghanistan, and they do shoot Center Mass always.

If you dont lie because your Lord forbids it,why did you join the army where you could kill people?

I know it is shameful and there is nothing I can do now except beg for forgiveness every day. I apologize to you and all men for the horrors I helped into the world and the people I killed.

I live every day and night in hell for what I have done. I look forward to death yet I fear what the Lord will have to say to me.

I beg your forgiveness.

If a Russian sniper had shot her with a druganov her arm would be gone. That bullets not even the size of a .22 caliber ! Get real. Russians are the good guys here anyway. Propaganda.

Bet it was a Georgian propaganda setup, if it where a Russian sniper she wouldn't have a head on her shoulders right now.

Besides, who do these reporters think they are? They go to a conflict area, they put all their gear in the middle of a road that is being disputed and they expect to come away unhurt? Do they think they have some Holy protection that keeps them from being shot at?

It is clearly anti-Russian propaganda.

How am I supposed to know if it was a Russian or Georgian sniper? This clip is just getting spun to meet different agendas or points of view even though there is absolutely no evidence on which side fired on the reporter.

has anyone on here had any experience with sniping would u be able to tell wether the shot heard was timed right or the distance it was fired from

The shots seemed timed ok...

Here's the thing though.

Russian Snipers are among the best trained in the world.

A Real Snipe will take his time, do the math & kill his target in one shot.

Now if he was just firing a warnning shot "colse enough for her to hear the slug to whistle past", and aimed at a height so as not to be fatal should the target moves un expectedly. Then yes it could have been a Ruski Sniper, having some fun.

The fact thaty there were several shots after the main hit, yet nothing else was hit, would suggest a warnning to bugger off. This was not intended as a kill shot or an attempted one, to me it looks like a "Get the #$&% Outa' here, shot.

Weather it was russian or georgian fire, it matteres not, it wasn't intended as a kill shot.
