In Jack L. Chalker's The Four Lords of the Diamonds series of books, everyone in the far future was brown, with brown eyes and brown hair. I loved that concept...surely it would totally eradicate racism!

But then I thought about it some more, and people would probably say things like, "a small nose is better than a big one," or "bigger eyes are better than smaller ones." There might still be a hierarchy of features that would classify people. I hope not, though. Maybe by that time we'll know better....I truly, truly hope so.

My "racism" stems purely from religion and the way religion is used to try and bring about change which I consider to be a back step for society and imposes on my liberties.

An few examples

I don't want to work with Muslim as I did in the past and was continually conscious of having to mind my tongue as to not offend was forced to change my eating habits and was ostracized for not being able to communicate in an Arabic language.

I don’t want to live near Muslims as when I did the smell of the food was overwhelming, the backstreets are cluttered with rubbish and the area degenerates.

I don’t want to hang around with Muslims, Muslims of my age and my area are arrogant, usually into drugs or sell drugs, use violence against others (although these also applies to the majority of people were I live) and in the extreme cases in my area are involved in child prostitution and active hatred against the British way of life.

Now to all you this is racist and ignorant but I live though this and it’s my honest opinion of the influences I’ve had, and has nothing to do with what the media tells me.

Racism involves a race. When you view all people of the religion in that manner, it's prejudice and stereotyping. If you have a negative view point on certain individuals because of what you have seen, and only view those individuals in a certain fashion, then it's noy prejudice.

But when you believe that everyone who shares the same attribute as that individual (whether it be religion, culture, age, looks, or even gender), is like that individual, then it's prejudice.

I'm sure there are drug addicts and dealers in every society, culture, and religion, but to base everyone who follows that belief system on the notion that they act the same as the one bad person is ignorant beyond words for anyone to believe.

Everything you have described as problems with Muslims, does it have to do with them being Muslim, their country of origin, their socio-economic background, or you being raised in a different belief system?

If it's religious in nature, then wouldn't every Muslim follow the same living style?

We were told not bring any pork products in our lunches as the smell offended them, first it started with the bacon not in the same microwave (understandable) so we bought a microwave of our own, we then were told the smell is offensive, after which it was decided for us that no pork product should be brought in. The drugs thing I noted was generalized issue "(although these also applies to the majority of people were I live)"

Honestly you need to realize there are a billion Muslims, and they come from a whole lot of different countries and cultures. I suspect the Muslims you have lived around were from certain countries that were not the cleanest.

It would be as if someone visited the US and spent time in the ghetto, then came away thinking "Sheesh those Americans are dirty, poor, violent people...I want nothing to do with them". No, SOME Americans are like that, the majority are NOT like that.

I have visited Iran, and it was quite clean. The people wore deodorant, they did not stink, the streets were kept up, the homes were beautiful. They are a polite and clean people and of course the crime rate, or even short changing people is extremely low.

I would guess the Muslim's you have been around were from specific countries, and they do NOT represent all Muslims from all countries.

Yeah yall need to get a handle on that problem. Then again maybe its too late.

America is different because we already have issues. Sheesh all new immigrants are typically issues (the wave of Irish immigrants to the US caused a lot of concern, some were convinced they would never assimilate).

Predictions regarding the future of America say the Hispanics, Asians, and Whites will be the majority groups in the future. While the language issue is a concern for the Hispanic population, politically they tend to be pretty openminded and do not vote on racial lines.

As far as I am concerned the surge of Hispanics (or Asians) is not the worst thing that could happen. From my experience the vast majority do not have a problem with white people at all. I believe they can and will assimilate fairly well given time, as long as the language issue is addressed.

It will NOT be a good thing for another minority, because neither Asians or Hispanics carry any racial guilt. I do suspect when they start to truly flex their political power the perks are going to stop for some.

You all are missing the point. The views on liberty, and life will chg. The will to fight for freedom will grow cold. I just don't see millions of Mexicans going to arms against a future "Hitler"; dressed up in bomber jackets flying desperate missions against Hitler like forces knowing only 50% of the planes will return. I don't recall reading about the hundreds of local Hispanics coming to the aid of those strange "white folks" in the Alamo, just to die for a concept called liberty,...w/ no hope of winning. All save one just sat back and watched the show.

I suspect in 2042 their will be fewer wars. We will all just get along. In general Colors don't have a deep running conviction "give me liberty or give me death". If you are not willing to die for liberty, it will go away.

2042 the US will be like other color nations, so, so, no burning flame, no fire in the belly. The general trouble w/ whites is that they believe others share the same views on important issues,...some do but most don't.

In a way i can understand where you coming from.
Blackburn has a large ethnic population so everything the council does is geared up so as not to offend them.
Its the same for other places in the country that are like Blackburn.Where i live in Manchester the population is mainly white,probably because its a "posh" area.Saying that though,my neighbour is a Muslim.Not the most devout kind as he likes to drink and smoke pot.


As Sonya610 says,there are millions of Muslims and all of them are not the same.But i suppose its a natural reaction,when dealing with a group or race of people,to become prejudiced against all of them.It doesn't make the reaction right,but its understandable.

People here the word "Stormfront" and immediately a string of racially-charged epithets enter their mind.

I actually took to the time to go on Stormfront and join it and just see what people on there have to say.

I'm not a White Supremacist in the least; as having dark, olive skin is generally connotated with inferiority in that mindset.

I was simply curious as to what the website was all about. And guess what!
EVERYTHING but White Supremacy.

Just because it's call "StormFront" does not mean every member is a blonde-haired, brown-shirted Neo-Nazi who wishes to reestablish the Third Reich.

The same way a conspiracy website known as "Above Top Secret" isn't crawling with tin-foil whackjobs who think satellites are watching their every move and cover their ceilings with Aluminium Foil.

What do we discuss here on ATS for example? Conspiracies? Sure. But look at how many other topics are covered...
General politics, Aviation, Survival Techniques, Technology, Evolution, Psychology, Popular Culture, Pscyhology, Geo-friggin'-Psychometry..

We cover a huge range of topics, many of which have nothing to do with conspiracies, many of our members not in the least bit supportive of them.

It's a good analogy to use with Stormfront.
Sure a portion of that website is devoted to White Supremacist views and discussions, but another huge part of it, I would say even more than 50% is just devoted to general, random topics that have nothing to do with White Supremacy or Nazism and are discussed by people who don't support those views.

There's boards for Health & fitness, Poetry Money management, Martial Arts, Network Security, Science, even Homemaking.

The website is offered in dozens of languages, from English to Afrikaans, Italian, Greek, Russian, French, Hungarian, and a whole host of others.

Pretty multicultural for a Neo-Nazi/KKK website no?

A lot of people like to jump the gun when they hear certain phrases or see certain symbolism.
Eg: Bald-headed guy with overalls= Neo Nazi

That helps to feed the exact kind of rascism being discussed in this thread.
Ignorance misconceptions spread like wildfire because people are too friggin' lazy to find out for themselves, they'd rather somebody else did.

I too have been on this site,know your enemy,as they say.

You are very naive and are a good example of how sites like that can draw people in.

Yes,the site is available in many countries,which makes it diverse in culture,not race.
And obviously these people are'nt going to spend all their time talking about white power etc,but that doesn't change the nature of the site.
It is a racist white power site that encourages its members to join groups such as the KKK and various neo-Nazi groups.It has links to other racist organizations and they advicate the belief of white seperation from every other race.Why? Survival apparently.
If they could get away with racial slurs and advicating violence etc online i'm sure they would encourage it.But,as the owner,Don Black (how ironic) knows,his site would be shut down faster than you can say,"white supremisists are a bunch of a**holes."
