I think America will be here in 20 years. The people trying to break America's financial back in order to bring about the NAU will need that amount of time to get Americans, Canadians and Mexicans to agree to such a thing.

However, there's a strong Libertarian movement rising in America. I think we'll have voted out the Republicans and Democrats that share the same agenda long before 20 years. It doesn't take long for people to wake up and realize that we're not the world's police. In fact, had we not tried to act like the world's police, 9/11 would've never happened and we wouldn't be in Iraq and Afghanistan right now. It's not rocket science. Sometimes you just have to speak a little slower to some people so that they can understand the truth.

You can't fight ignorance with hate.

A lot of the responses in this thread were anger at the ignorance of the OP.

While I understand the unpleasant feeling it gives you to think that such a person actually exists and can vote in our country (if it was a serious post not just trying to piss people off) but anger and hate can not be used to fight ignorance.

Well it might be difficult to show people the truth, especially when they are unwilling to except it, you can't respond with animosity. It won't help to enlighten people.

These people are not our enemies, they are just in a different place.

Finally, something we agree upon. The United Nations, formally referred to in the pre-WWII era as the League of Nations, should have never existed. It's caused more harm to nations than it has helped with humanitarian aid.

As for having "guts". Here's a short list of leaders who've had the "guts" to preemptively invade innocent countries: Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Emperor Hirohito, Saddam Hussein, Benito Mussolini, Genghis Khan, amongst many more. I have no doubt that with time, George W. Bush will be added to this exclusive list.

That is just some damn poor of an example. I sure hope you are not comparing George Bush to any of those people. The US does not take over a country for the purpose of extending our land mass. We are not doing any of this with the intent of exterminating a race or a people. Come on, thats just poor taste.

um, what are we doing over seas now? i thought we were "establishing democracy"... so ok, you mean to tell me we're forcing a system onto other individuals, who think their God is right and our God is wrong? yes indeed - very poor taste.

just don't tell me we're over there "fighting terrorism"... we've disproved that a long time ago...

To those of you on this board who know the truth and what is really going on, I would say continue taking care of your families and stay close to like-minded individuals. For the others who think that this "man" was a great president, I laugh out loud and then get pissed.

1. I laugh out loud because that is the craziest thing I have ever heard! After all that has surfaced on this so called "man" and his administration, you still choose to remain mentally lazy. I lived in different places overseas and the one thing that got me going the fastest was when foreigners would say that most Americans are sheep. I would then beat my chest and start firing away at them verbally, defending Americans and denying. Now, I want to find those people, personally apologize and shake their hands. They were right! And, as we see in the current housing market, the sheep are ready to be sheared!

2.I get pissed because I can't believe that I served most of my adult life up to this point supporting and defending this B.S., being lead to believe that I was serving my country. Well, the sheep can have it! Land of the free and home of the brave my ass! It is quite the opposite for the most part.

To those brave souls out there in the U.S. and Canada who are not afraid to speak the truth, keep stepping forward! God Bless America!

Thank you mr. president for committing war crimes.
Thank you mr. president for the illegal wiretap program.
thank you mr. president for instituting torture and extraordinary rendition policies.
thank you mr. president for being in the pocket of oil companies and removing restrictions which allow them to abuse their customers.
thank your mr. president for wiping out our economy.

Finally and most important,
thank you mr. president for dismantling the Constitution.

I can't believe anyone would actually want to thank this guy

Yesterday, after meeting with an oil industry front group, President Bush rebuked the congressional leadership for taking a “vacation” without holding a vote on offshore oil drilling:

Bush: "Last month I acted and I lifted an executive branch restriction on offshore oil exploration. And then I called on Congress to join me and…end the legislative ban. Unfortunately, the Democratic leadership in Congress decided to go on a five-week vacation, a recess, rather than act on behalf of the American consumer."

Bush’s dig at Congress for being on vacation is ironic, as he rivals Ronald Reagan for the title of “presidential vacation-time record holder.” Some highlights of Bush’s time away from the office:

– Attended 95 sports-related events.

– Made 74 trips to his Crawford ranch, for a total of 466 days.

– Made 142 trips to Camp David, for a total of 450 days.

– Attended 327 fundraising events for Republican candidates and causes.

Over the course of his presidency, national catastrophes have taken shape while Bush has been on vacation. When he was in Crawford before 9/11, Bush ignored an infamous memo about an impending bin Laden attack. Similarly, Bush brushed off warnings of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 while at the ranch.

So once again, thank you mr. president

I really don't understand why your thanking a man so much when he caused so much pain and death to so many people. Your post made me laugh though, maybe you should marry him.

Most U.S. and foreign corporations doing business in the United States avoid paying any federal income taxes, despite trillions of dollars worth of sales, a government study released on Tuesday said.

The Government Accountability Office said 72 percent of all foreign corporations and about 57 percent of U.S. companies doing business in the United States paid no federal income taxes for at least one year between 1998 and 2005.

Thanks for not fixing this little problem mr. bush.

I know I've paid taxes every year and I didn't make trillions of dollars

If you read my entire post you see that. The whole point of him looking stupid, is to give him the image of someone who doesnt really know that hes doing anything wrong. If he was to look more intellegent people would give him less credibility and respect if he made a mistake.

He has made dilerable wrong doings, not mistakes. Because he appears to be stupid they look like "mistakes"

On a side not have you seen him debate in some live interviews. He seems very intellegent.

Oh but I'm just saying. So will you people get it already.

Mabus, I, like you, don't agree with everything Bush does. Actually,I probably only agree with about half of his decisions. However, all things considered, he has done ok. Albeit, he has allowed some very evil people disrupt what could have been a very good presidency.

The man is in like Flynn with those "evil" people...

Oooops. One line post.

It may be that others have posted their list - I haven't read it all...

Thank you, King...er...Prez, for:

Removing Habeas Corpus.

Creating the Enemy Combatant

Lying to get us to war with Iraq

Removing Posse Comitatus

Signing all those secret orders that will likely bite us in the butt when they surface

Attending ceremonies at Bohemian Grove

Sitting there reading a story while attacks were taking place (that the evidence overwhelmingly suggests you had a hand in)

Giving the Telecom companies immunity

Spying on us illegally

Spending all that money WE have to pay back - at interest - to the the Federal Reserve (a private corporation)

Handing Wall Street over to the Federal Reserve (a private corporation) effectively giving us to the Federal Reserve (a private corporation) as indentured slaves

As was mentioned in one of the earliest posts here, the OP made my gorge rise.

The man is a War Criminal and admitted felon under US Law. Sorry no amount of good makes up for the bad this man could have stopped, and you know what we would of had his back until the wheels fell off. But he is a sell out and is responsible for EVERY death of our children as well as over 1 million Iraqi citizens, letting Blackwater run with impunity in THIS country as well as Iraq, not having to follow any laws. He has called our Constitution a "piece of paper", fancied himself the dictator/decider of America. It is not even proven he won the election, have you counted the number of people and heard the testimony of the ones who were convicted and others who spoke to Senators and Congressmen, who did nothing of course. Both sides are the same, it is a false paradigm to give you a sense of power. Most of you have an open enough mind to believe in Aliens and UFO's but you cannot fathom your Government being evil and controlled? Have you read all the quote's throughout history?
