What kind of a lake is this?

THIS is a lake in Ohio which has a very unusual color. If you look at the Ohio river next to it you will see what all of the bodies of water look like in Ohio.

My only guess would be that this is filled with some type of a chemical to turn it this color?

Well if it's a lake, it's a tropical one.


However I do believe that to be a quarry.

The lakes around the Canadian Rockies look tropical too, they're beautiful. The water is very fresh and clear.
