No my friend, you are not. I posted this in one of the original threads. First, the MSM kind of avoided the topic. Then, when they finally picked it up hardcore, they started to spin it as if Russia was the aggressor.

I guess it depends on who you believe and what stance you take. Ossetia is still actually part of Georgia so the country pretty much began aggression with itself. Does this give Russia a right to strike back? Well, many will say yes and many will say no. Ossetia didn't gain its indepence and was not recognized as a separate country.

I agree though. Everything I have read on MSM is that Russia is the agressor and that a 'valued' ally and one trying to join with our group of nations was attacked by Russia. Total BS but you know what? It won't matter because the majority of people in this country will believe whatever they are told on the news. It's a joke.

Georgia did not attack Russia first. Georgia attacked S. Osetia - which is a part of Georgia that wants to be in Russia. Russian troops were killed, civilians - Georgian/Russian citizens - were killed. To use this to invade Georgia is the same as to use death of NATO peacekeepers to invade Yugoslavia.

I know i shouldn't get into this, but against my better judgement, here i go.

First, as a disclaimer, i will tell you that actually i don't care who the bad guy is in this war, i think all wars are wrong, no matter who started it, it needs to stop right now. Innocent people of both sides suffer and it's just WRONG.

Also my oppinions are not based on what the MSM say, i don't follow the MSM and if i wouldn't have read here i would have had no idea who newspapers and tv stations say the bad guy is.

It disturbs me how most people here see Georgia as the agressor. Seriously, a small and powerless state? Everybody judges Georgia for trying to make friends with western countries. Did it ever even occur to you that such a small poor powerless country has no other option but to play nice and make powerful friends? Obviously the "friendship" with Russia didn't work out quite well for them.

Also it really gets on my nerves how most people here have no consideration for the integrity and sovereignity of Georgia. If it were a piece of your own country that wanted to become independent, i bet most of you wouldn't have the same oppinion as with Georgia. Me, i don't really care, i'm not such a patriot, but i can see why Georgia is trying to defend its territory.

Sure, it's easy to sit at your computer and judge and blame a country just cause the media is on its side and it's cool to disagree. But the truth is you have no idea what's really going on there. Me neither actually. But there is one thing i know for sure. The russian army doesn't invade a country to plant flowers there.

Has your country ever been invaded by the russians? No? Then most likely you don't know what that's like.

I don't even know why i bother.

I stopped watching the video once that dude got to North Osetia thing - which is Russia by the way. It was never Georgia. It was not attacked/shelled - because it is region in Russia. Like Moscow. And this guy says that in this real free news site he saw real news, true news. But then keeps talking about North Osetia as integral part of the conflict ,besides Russia. Well ,i do not know how true it is then, if person watching it is left unsure about the area, borders and ethnic issues.
By the way, i do not think you really want everybody to be your yes man. This is why i am posting here even after you kind of lost your temper. However if you love freedom so much that my opinions are to be banned - i assure you, i will edit my posts after your second request for silence.

I was kicked out of Abkhazia in 1992, where Russian troops created a genocide of Georgian people, propper ethnic cleansin happened over there at the time. 46 thouthands Georgians were brutaly killed (just because of their ethnicity) and over 450 thousannds were kicked out by Russian solders and Kossacks + Jeehadee militia led by Shameel Basaev (who cooperated with russian troops at that time, took an active part in cleansing and later in 2000 he became a public enemy N1 of R.Federation and was brutally murdered by FSB). Straight after they placed 'russian citizens' in Georgian houses (kossaks and other facists). Every1 in Abkhazia and Osetia got russian passport. In fact FSB shipped tracks loaded with russian passports over there for distribution.

In 1990-91 the population of S.Osetia (known as Samachablo at the time) and Abkhazia (Known as Abkhazeti at that time) had referendum, in which the huge majority of population was against being with USSR and expressed their willingles being with Georgia as it was alway had been a part of Georgia. I repeat an overwelming majority of both provinces. Where in case of Abkhazia population looked like this at the time,where : 40% Georgians, 30% Russians, 20% Armenians, 5% ethnic Abkhazians,5% others.
After the cleansing (now): 0.0001% Georgians, 61% Russians (growing), 30% Armenians( Growing), 4% ethnic Abkhazians (Declining), 5% others.

Can't give you accurate facts regarding (Samachablo) S.Ossetia, but it did look very similat to above facts.
