I like your sentiment, but honestly, not many in this country living today have "earned" their right just yet. Just bc others have fought for our freedom in the past doesn't mean that we have ALL "earned" that right at freedom. The opportunity may be coming up rather quickly to do so though.

I didn't want to get into the topic of religion though I'll say this much. Regardless of what 'book of scripture' one abides by....I'll say that I abide by the God that existed prior to the 'written' books. If God meant to be explained in 'books' he wouldn't be so misunderstood today. To date their are over 256 denominations of Christianity. If you were to fly through history you would discover that 'organized' religion was created by mankind and evolved over time. Sun God...begot....Hinduism...of which begot Budhism...of which begot Taosim...of which begot Confucianism...of which begot..collectively bit and parcel....Judaism...of which begot Christianity...of which begot....Islam...etc. etc.
Evolution of thought.
Too bad time and again throughout the ages tyrants have 'used' organized religion as a means of grouping one force against another for lust of power, land and control. Many times these tyrants never believed or acted on the premises that their followers were led by. Tyrants are hypocrites and live short and miserable lives as intended by God's laws inherent in nature. Man only needs to 'observe' the natural world about him to come to an understanding of God's nature. Humans will never 'know' God and are not meant to. Humans can only 'begin' to fathom knowledge of our Creator. Manmade books may hold many truths though these truths are self evident in nature and when man does wrong he feels it and suffers the consequences. When man does right by his neighbor ...he feels it and knows a 'good' deed. God gave man the ability to use his inherent 'reason' to attempt to be 'rational'. We have choice and the path our lives take from here forward is evidences in those collective actions we've sowed. We truly reap what we sow and nature is God's revelation to mankind since...well....God created it. Since God created nature....we are to learn from it. The problem with humanity today is man has veered to far from nature and 'Art' can only mimic our Creator's nature. Words are and syntax (sentence structure) are limited in and of itself therefor can never accurately express the essence of our Creator. Can a deaf and dumb blind man know our Creator? Yes, but how? I suppose that is a good question to dwell on. I personally would like to rid the Earth of currency of which has only divided mankind. Barter system is much better. Could this be the future? We shall see.

I couldn't agree with you more. What kills me is that if the roles were reversed, This would be all over MSM, dominating everthing on the news. I just don't get it. If you were to listen to the MSM you usually would feel ashamed for being a white male as I am. But the fact that news stories are not given equal coverage I am overcoming that feeling. The MSM are perpetuating racism stereotypes by choosing to sensationlize stories that are race related. The sad part is that if the usuals who speak out against race crimes ( i.e. Jesse jackson, Farrakhan (sp?), etc..) would say that these people did what they did because the whites made them that way. Oppression (sp).!!!! Whatever!!!!!! All races need to take responsibility for thier actions. Stop blaming everyone else. This is not pre-1960.

I reffered to the fact that blacks are not being charged with hate crimes in an earlier unrelated post. Blacks comit many more violent crimes against whites than the other way around. Too many white people have been brain washed into defining " prejudice" and " Racist" as the government wants you too. I constantly have to correct people on the definitions.
most people can not even define these two terms. " Prejudice" is judging with no facts. People, if you have the facts it is not Prejudice! it is wise decision making! It does not matter what the government tells you there are big differences in the races! There is factual and scientific proof of this but for some strange reason possibly the " dumbing down of America" ignorant people abound. The U.S at one time was number one or close to it in education but now we are no where close to this, I will let the readers think about all the reasons this came about. Remember people there are "truths" out there no matter how bad people want to deny this.
A lot of people do not even understand that when you are looking at statistics of anything to do with people you have to make sure it is split up into races otherwise its not accurate, and in some cases it is not even close to accurate!

man i live in NYC...and for the past couple decades its been getting better and better..crime-wise, especially racially motivated crimes....if you live in NYC and you are a Xenophobe, like HP Lovecraft was, then you probably will run away screaming as there are SO many races here..its impossible to hate everyone all the time.

I grew up (and live in NYC), and well... the new york post is one of the worst, and least accurate news papers I've ever seen. Shame on the OP for using such an insignificant publication for a pressing topic.

Also, I grew up in Brooklyn, by Coney Island, and anyone from the area can tell you it's a mixed neighborhood (blacks, whites and many Latinos). In fact Sheapshed Bay is like the next neighborhood with an Eastern European population (we'd say it's a Russian neighborhood here in Brooklyn).

Also it's rather idiotic to assume someone's a minority by the way they speak. Can anyone please identify for a fact what races were involved in that brawl?

(little known fact, but there isn't much of a distinction in the way Broolynites speak, especially if they were born and raised here.)


Anyways back to the primary issue. First of all if you want to debate or start an argument at least use a credible source. The new york post is as credible as a UFO/alien thread here on AbovetopSecret. Not even the dregs would use it. (That's why this story didn't get any attention. Knowing the post, it was probably grossly exaggerated, then corrected the next day. Also be aware, that's a tiny bit of all the # that actually goes on in the Brooklyn nights, so I'm surprised it got any attention).

Let's just leave it at that. I'm not even going to contribute on the racial debate, since it got a very poor and instigated start.

All I have to say to you is that you should get facts straight before you talk about people being racist; no one ever said if there's a black guy in the wrong neighbor hood that he wouldn't get his ass kicked by whitey. I love the fact that "black" people always have to turn every situation into a race issue when there view of black slavery and how white men handled it is compromised. Another fact is that maybe you should do a little look down your family tree and see if your type of Black ancestory was actually enslaved by the white man, and while your at it take a look at how many people die every day in Africa because they are killed by there own people and it's been that way for 1000 years. Also as I pointed toward in the previous post only certain blacks were enslaved: NOT ALL meaning if you were from western Africa you more then likely were never a american slave. Also many "whites" as you call it have been enslaved through out history for many more years then slavery lasted in the united states; such as example one England over its lower provinces Ireland and Scotland. Do some history research before you get yourself into something you weren't even a part of.

The other teenaged girl supposedly being attacked or whatever was probably another one of their prostitutes, which is the real reason they would have intervened.

Here's what I think really may have happened:

The teenaged girl being "beaten up by a mob" (claimed to number 50 people deep, more likely just two or three people) was another one of the Russian's prostitutes and she was beaten up by her own handlers because she tried to pocket extra money or something. Or perhaps she was slapped around by a drug dealer because she tried to rip him off. Either way, the Russians cooked up a cover story when they realized she was beaten up too badly and might try to finger them.

You have to look a little deeper into these sort of stories.
