Is this escalating towards another Cold War, or are we already there and we're just heading towards the deep freeze?

What is Russia trying to prove here? Why now???

Thanks for the laugh, but I think Mars is a safer choice right about now.

Russia is showing the USA/Israel/NATO the she means to maintain her place on the world stage. This is very serious business, and anyone who doesn’t take it as such needs a history lesson. I seems as if Bush may have blinked in this matter, and we should all pray that’s the case.

www.telegraph.co.uk...

Hopefully this was just a feint by BUSHCO in order to judge the determination of the Russ, and it seems that they have answered in spades. If the world is lucky, Bush and his Israeli puppet masters are sane enough to take a hint. I’m not betting on it though.

Nuclear Threat from Russia to U.S. "If U.S. Attacks Russia, Russia will be Forced to Use Nuclear Weapons Against United States." Part 1 of 2

Not that I'm a Titor fan or really followed his works, but from the few things I did read... does this remind anyone of John Titor? About how he was talking about Russia nuking our "government" and the result would be that the US will be 5 seperate areas/states etc..

this is scary stuff... also 90% of my family is in Poland. Why does everyone have to beat on Poland all the time
what did we ever do?

I know the Titor legend well and in his timeline this culminates in our destruction in 2015.

They're all still pissed about Copernicus.
And in case you don't know, check out the relationship between the words Slav and slave. My maternal grandfather was a Kowalski.
A band leader who played several instruments, and quite the partier by all accounts.

Us British people would defend Poland in a war.
Russians are idiots, their doctrine of using tactical nukes if hit with prescision guided weapons is laughable at best. 95% of the world would all of a sudden be Russias enemy...

Just a little note in response to your comment. In Russian 'slava' means 'glory', so I always assumed 'slavyanye' (slavs) meant 'glorious ones'.

I've just looked it up in Wikipedia, and it seems to confirm this.

en.wikipedia.org...

Back on topic: mirageofdeceit has nailed it by pointing to the apparent return to Cold War-type rhetoric and relations as the crux of the matter. This is pretty undeniable, whereas talk of regional or world war is, fortunately, premature.

I think Putin/Russia are just 'flexing there muscles'. The Iraq invasion officially started the new cold war.

Maybe you should wait and see if the china Olympics runs its course and ends well with a closing ceremony. This will prove Titor's claim one way or other when he said 2004 was the last olympics held. We got twelve more days to go.

Georgia and it's leader's crazed obsession about territorial integrity are not worth a Nuclear war, much less a piece of dog sh*t.

Georgia awoke the Bear from his hibernation, let them taste their medicine. America need not risk itself or it's citizens to help such a foolish and violent leader.

Just like they told Iraq they would not interfere if the Iraq army invaded Kuwait

Russia interfered in Iraq?
When?

Russia is just doing what the West does.

Only when the West does it, you percieve it as "right" and when Russia does it you percieve it as "wrong"

Russia will not invade Baltic states or take action against Poland.

Spreading the war to Eastern Europe risks sparking a war in Central Europe. Russia will not risk a global war.

Totally spot on. Starred. The challenge is not to swallow the lines we are fed in the mass media by staying informed. Switch off the box and read.

Well it is pretty obvious from reading the threads on ATS that people do not perceive what USA is doing 'right'. On the contrary there are hundreds of threads per day about these sinister secret plans and moves.

And now that russia does the same disgusting thing you say.. 'Russia is just doing what the West does'???? JUST???

You seem to have just as nice double standards as these countries...
