I don't think so, or why would they have a completely unique symbol in the bottom 6?

None of the triangle rotations I am doing have made any sense so far. I am still wondering what the point of the 'other' code at the bottom is too.

Don't know if this will help but what the hey, we got to try everything. I was wondering if the dot code at the bottom suggests that if we can figure out how that was formulated we can apply it to this puzzle. Ya never know.

Why are the 6 characters on the bottom a "negative" of the ones on the top? Why aren't they also white shapes on a black background like the cryptogram? I wonder if that has any significance...

I hope you all don't mind my contributions, lame as they are.
Who knows? I might accidentally run across something meaningful.

No I don't mind your contributions
We need all the help we need.

I do agree with you about the symbols being in the negative color. Could be significant.

I actually like this idea, and have been working on the assumption that there will be some kind of rotation like this. I can't figure out the logic of the pattern though in those bottom ones, or extend it to the rest. And I have no idea what the dot-pattern "eniin" is for ...

Cycle of triangles builds words

Symbols are diagonally true

Trying to figure what that means.

I think they placed them in the negative to make them stand out and/or to show it is separate from the top code. Either way I think you are right, it is an important clue.

Your contributions aren't lame! You should have seen some of the wild ideas I came up with for the last puzzle!

Symbols could mean those at the bottom so diagonally true could mean the bottom symbols line up two ways to the two glyphs.

Like so, E EN NI II IN N

Looking at the fact that each symbol is "missing" triangles. They are each missing 1, 2, 3 or 4 triangles... Maybe the alphabet is split into 4 sections?

[I'm not positive I got all the numbers right... My eyes are crossing and my husband wants lunch! Imagine that! When I'm doing something so important here!)

Okay, here's my new key.

It gives ICXWMYP_ACFJWYKM_QYBHLWXNIHH_QYPYFUBUTJ_ANIKIY, which I'm going to try playing with with varying offsets. I'm just hoping this one's not based on the keyboard too

EDIT: PS to dahmerjr -- in the last code, did the key advance for the spaces between words?

Hi all,
Ive been watching these puzzles very carefully since saturday and im hooked!!!

For this one I feel the only way of distinguishing each character of symbol is to break it into a top and bottom part and then give each a binary number according to the triangles present.

I did the following by using the marker that is present on all pieces to mark the starting point and then move clockwise on the top of the glyph so that the top would be coded as a four bit number and likewise the bottom:

4
3 1 (MARKER)
2
and same for the bottom 4
3 1
2

So for example the first symbol would be 1110
1011

I did the following table:

Clockwise:

1110 1011 1010 0010 0110 1000 1010
1011 1111 0011 1011 1111 1011 1011

1110 1011 0111 1010 0010 1000 1110 0110
1111 1111 1111 1111 1011 1011 1110 1111

1110 1000 1111 1101 1110 0010 1010 1110 1110 1101 1101
1010 1011 1011 1111 1101 1011 0011 0111 1011 1111 1111

1110 1000 1010 1000 0111 1100 1111 1100 1110 1010
1010 1011 1011 1011 1111 1011 1011 1011 0011 1111

1110 1110 1110 1110 1110 1000
1111 0111 1011 1110 1011 1011

I then grouped them in order according to which base was largest etc:

1110 1101 1011 1010 0111 0110
1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111

1110
1110

1110
1101

1111 1110 1100 1010 1000 0010
1011 1011 1011 1011 1011 1011

1110
1010

1110
0111

1110 1010
0011 0011

Now can anybody link this in any way to the legend at the bottom????

Maybe the inversion of colours means to work anticlockwise????

The ATS logo is upside down with something on it. I have flipped the crypt vertically and horizontally, but noticed nothing.

Edit: Thanks, americandingbat (below). You're probably right. Lots of U2U problems.

Nice catch! I have no idea what it means, but it's one more thing to add to the pile

And wes_dublin, welcome to the insanity
We need all the help we can get.

EDIT: They're talking about the logo over here too. Apparently the sticker is a maritime distress flag, and is probably related to the recent u2u problems.

Hmm...Maybe the words are like lego blocks and we have to assemble them together?

Diagonally?

Sorry I'm probably way off, but that was just my take on it.

Guys, the logo change is a BIG hint. (imho)

What is there? Upside down logo and a symbol with a square and a circle.

Do you guys remember me posting about the curiousness of this thread being bumped to the top of the games & events forum? Why?????

The thread name is "square the circle. bl related". Just like the logo....

I think we need to look at this very seriously.

I am inclined to agree actually, I noticed the logo had changed but I didn't want to say anything in case I was looking WAY too deep into this hehe.

And an anonymous poster keeps bumping this thread every day, but there is no post. The last two posters to this thread registered on 8/8/08. This is not just coincidence. The thread ID is 166552.

It starts with 16?

We need to inspect that thread.

Also, it's about pyramids. Our symbols could be a top view of pyramids. Little tiny baby pyramids. Triangles on a true diagonal...
