With these kind of accusations why are we not at least banning Russia from competing at the Bejing Games.

What about 2000 civilian deaths in Southern Ossetia during the Georgian offensive? SKY wasn't reporting that story, right?

no comment.

Well, first of all they are just "accusations" at this point. Second, who is this "we" you are talking about that you want to ban Russia from competition? We being the US? How many civilians have we killed in Iraq? How could we possibly be in any position to discipline Russia for their treatment of civilians?

All nations that commit acts like that should be banned no exceptions. It is the duty of the olympic committee to do so, It probably would not stop the bloodshed but it would send a clear message during this time of world union

yes this is coming from georgias president who has also been caught lying, and then grinning while he lies about the conflict on TV.

in short consider the source. this is coming from a man who launched an artillery raid on a whole city. he is one to talk about civilian targeting.

Sky and the BBC have been all over this conflict since it started and the have reported the numbers given by the Georgians, Russians, South Ossetians and possibly Red Cross - guess what? They're all different! We need to wait for the likes of the Red Cross to get a true look at the region so they can get to work and we can finally know the truth - and I seriously doubt any of the numbers so far reported are accurate.

Great, so they have to ban the US, Sudan, Iraq, Iran, Israel, Rwanda, Kongo, Burma, etc... - lol, would be a great thing for China, at least they would get more gold medals

But, seriously, you don't believe really what you've just said? Inform yourself a little bit more about the S Ossetia - Georgia conflict.

Well, this year it would make for a pretty barren Olympics. The entire "coalition of the willing" would have to take a pass. Most of the African nations would be out. China wouldn't be in.... It would be a pretty long list.

This is the real situation of the Georgian invasion - civilian deaths? 2000 just in S Ossetia. Of course, CNN won't show you that footage.
