'Russia sinks Georgian attack boat'

Russian military forces have sunk a Georgian warship that fired on its Black Sea Fleet, a defense ministry official has said.

"Russian navy ships returned fire, sinking a Georgian craft that had attacked," said the Russian official on condition of anonymity.

Elsewhere, the ITAR-Tass news agency quoted a defense ministry spokesman as saying that Georgian missile patrol boats twice tried to attack Russian ships, which in turn fired back and sank one of the Georgian vessels.

I think it will end with Russia occupying much of Georgia and relations being severely strained between the US and Russia. I don't think this will balloon into WW3 yet though. I just think that we would much rather pick fights with countries we can completely dominate, we don't want to get involved in an all out war with Russia because the casualties will be way too high.
