Cheney: Russian action 'must not go unanswered'

news.yahoo.com

WASHINGTON - Vice President Dick Cheney says Russia's military actions in Georgia "must not go unanswered."

Cheney spoke Sunday afternoon with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili. "The vice president expressed the United States' solidarity with the Georgian people and their democratically elected government in the face of this threat to Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity," Cheney's press secretary, Lee Ann McBride, said.

I just read this too.

America to the rescue! It seems we are going to start WWIII due to the moral code of a man who eats baby-heads for breakfast. God help us all.

Oh good gosh lets not jump to conclusions here. What he meant was "unanswered" as far as diplomatic relations go. Why must everyone immediately jump to military action? LOL We arent in high school are we?. Or are we? LOL

You know, I'd like to think that God CAN do something to help us, but it's time we helped ourselves.

Time to prepare like never before...

Fill up the gas tanks...
Buy as many non-perishables we can store...
Bottle as much water as we can...

And most importantly...

Kiss our children and love our families as much as we can.

Come on prince... We are not dealing with intelligence here...

We are dealing with power hungry crazed individuals. These are strong words. Especially when you cast them at a man like Putin who does not take garbage from ANYONE.

Serious? When to head for the mountains? Prepare and leave now? That would be wise since everyone leaving at once would be hectic. I am concerned. The shoe has dropped, I feel, now it is a waiting game for the other one.... I'm scared. I am a single girl, living in DENVER, and I got to realize that I-70 will be shutdown by the military once the poo hits the fan, which is...next week? What to do!

Sorry, but it isn't going happen... no matter what DICK says. The threat of mutually assured destruction will prohibit direct US military involvement... The same way it will when or If the USA attacks Iran, Russia will be in a similar position... wanting to aid Iran... but.....

It is what it is.

On second thought, maybe this will be useful when the USA does attack Iran?

Serious as I will ever be. Thank goodness I am already in the mountains. I moved my family here 7 months ago. I saw all too clearly what was eventually going to play out and did everything I could to prepare.

I just hope this doesn't happen as quickly as it seems it could.

Unanswered doesn't automatically mean military force.
When these political puppets speak they think there words are more powerful than a gun.Hes just trying to make himself look good as usual.
He probably means what Russia is doing must be condemned.

The only people headed for the mountains are the folks who are depressed and looking for any excuse necessary to drop out of society. Sorry, but its true. You guys wanna headt to mtns because of the Russia/Georgia thing? LOL-okay, i'll help fill up your tanks. But i'll still be here posting a month from now while you guys are eating tgree bark and berries and wondering why nothing happened.

Really? That is bold. I am close to the mountains, closer than I was living in AURORA. I dont know what to do! I hate lines! I dont want to get trapped in one long one on I-70.

Calm down... deny ignorance or whatever, it isn't going to happen.

If it does, and there is an all out war between the US and Russia.... it's the end no matter where you go... both sides have enough nukes to end all life on the planet several times over.

So why run to the mountains?

A better view?

Yeah like they care about killing a billion people by nuclear war. Cheney doesn't give a flying fark as long as he survives. Hitler didn't cared about the german people being wiped out because they were too ``coward`` to win the war... That's what happens to crazy people in power, they would sacrifice the whole world to defeat their ``enemy`` and if they have to die, let's bring the whole world with them.

Plucky, please dont pay any attention to the "princeofpeace" and "the_alarmist". Most likely right wing nut jobs who support Bush and are here to spread misinformation. Misery loves company, heard that one?

They are not prepared and are more then likely so invested in this shabby society, that they cannot fathom their tiny worlds being vaporized.

You are very right to be concerned. Do not jump in your car now you seem to over react a tad. It will be quite soon though. Denver will undoubtedly be a target for any pre-emptive strike I feel. Sorry to say it.

Best thing you can do is store water, store some kinda food and have atleast 2 months worth. Also make a back pack that can carry a lot of it with basic medical supplies, compass, knife, etc...

You getting the point? Also get a good pair of boots that go atleast 6 inches up your legs and are waterproof. Let the dumb people sit in their homes and scream nothings going to happen until the bomb lands on them. A little genetic cleansing might be good for society.

Im very glad ABTS has ignore I can weed out the people who are spreading misinformation (I just added two lol), I encourage you to do the same Plucky.

You canot afford to be distracted by these people. They are vampires.
You must focus on you and the ones you care about.
We grew up in school with plans for everything and practiced the plans
on regular intervals for what? For disaster. This is kindegarten stuff.
Some people never got out of kindegarten.

As for a place to go we have a very large shelter, food, gas masks, radiation meters, you name it. If you need a place to go to not far from Colorado let me know. It is also out of the fallout zone.

Above all a plan means youre smarter then the guy in his recliner drinking a beer screaming nothing could ever happen to his world.

Furthermore I take complete offense to someone calling a survivalist a social inept, I believe you are the one who is social inept and you are the one that creates these problems in the modern day.

We just evolved to get around you, to get rid of you. You will be gone soon enough. We are the future.

Vice President Dick Cheney says Russia's military actions in Georgia "must not go unanswered."

lol, this is probably exactly what the Russians were thinking of when Georgia leveled Tschinvale, they probably thought "Georgia's military actions in South Ossetia must not go unanswered."

Well, all this answering the answers only serves to get more people killed.

Currently Russia and Georgia are talking about discussing another cease fire deal... it's only the US that's taking the stance of vengeance now.

Cheney needs to get on the same page. This conflict is almost over... we don't need revenge.
