Totally agree with your analysis and nice job with the link.

Also, hat tip to Seawolf.

My observations as an experienced Video Editor are now moot.

Will simply add:

1. Obvious use of canned (Plug-ins) Film Scratches / Dirt.

2. Although footage was obviously highly compressed during upload to Youtube, it was obviously video and not film. (No flicker / weave / 3:2 pulldown / "splices" at edit points.) Which I would have expected if it was authentic old footage.

3. The footage was obviously "Blown-up" in post / editorial.
(Possibly to hide "Network Bug / Logo." oops......missed one.
Look at :43 sec in. Upper Right. Brief logo or super that fades out.

Bottom line..........sloppy / amateurish / fake.

Kinda kurious, thank you for the opinion, i already said that the video was worked on, thats a 100% sure, its a youtube vid for god's sake!

What i was wondering is if anyone can direct me to the supposed show this came from? so I can further validate this internally? like i said, the grain, the glow all that is easy to add in, its the damn aliens I'm having a hard time with.

So stealing footage from a nationally produced network / cable program seems to explain the high production value.

Probably some kid with a Mac and Final Cut or Adobe Premiere.

So you see the problem here, one one side you have plagiarism and theft from a show of which we cant get the damning footage from ,lol, or a kid with a mac and final cut? lol, you're playing right? there's a lot one can determine from a production value, trust me.

Here is another comparison I made showing the alleged alien baby. It's
the Youtube and the original. The We tv series were very good with nice
recreations and effects. As usual there are some jokers who copy images
from these type of shows and manipulate the sequences just to fool
people around. I made a superquick tutorial sometime ago about the
making of this hoax based on these tv series.




The hoaxer copied different segments he choose with aliens.
Then he joined the desired sequence and of course removed the audios.
Then he applied a black and white kind of sepia filter to disguise the
hoax giving more realistic look adding some shadows and shinnings
using simple filters.
Then the hoaxer made zoomings and applied a slow motion effect just
to disguise again the trick from the original. Voila!! The kid hoaxer got
his alleged New Leaked Area 51 Alien footage to be uploaded on most
video websites and fool people. Unfortunatelly for him his trick was
discovered and revealed here on ATS sometime ago. Regards.

I truly appreciate the effort free_spirit, like i said i have no doubt the youtube video has been played with, no doubt, but i would like to see where it came from so that i can determine the production value of the show, those aliens are high tech puppetry or the real deal, if they are high tech then a supposed hoaxer (?) with what? 100's of thousands of dollars to spend on Alien puppets do this? i wouldn't for 15 minutes of unknown fame, lol, so we are we then?

this video is not new at all. its an old fake.

Too many cuts in the footage.

Plus, why does everyone have the same image of the aliens? Big eyes, small mouth and bald.

Who's to say you're not 14 years old and still learning English?

Perhaps you work for a non-English speaking company.

As far as the film goes, I'd say it's exactly the opposite of what you contend and not something costly or done by a professional.

The issue is: With such prevalence of computer imagery, how will we be able to detect the REAL from the FAKE?

As technology gets better and better,indeed,it's easier for someone to make better hoaxes but technology works both ways.It gets also easier to examine pictures/videos and check if they're authentic or not so don't get too worried about it.
