Other notible countries...

Georgia won a bronze for the Womens 10m Air Pistol...

Good considering the circumstances...


I hope the US continues this domination...

First gold for team GB, and what a gold! Nicole Cooke in the Women's road race.

The conditions were hellish, she really toughed it out and won through, a well deserved gold medal.

Many more to come for team GB I'm sure.

Probably those small countries. Us won't be in top 20, China won't be in top 50

Easliy one of the best sporting momnets i have EVER seen...

France was trash talking the US, and the US was down in the finnal 25m, and by a near ACT OF GOD, the US swimmer SHOT ahead at the last second, and the US won by 0.08 seconds...

Every true American that was watching, screemed thier head off...

Man, it was so great to watch the swimming last night, and congrats the US men's gymnastics team for their bronze. Without the Hamm Bros. no one expected them to win a medal at all.

The swimming was totaly insane...

That is CLEARLY one of the most epic endings i have EVER seen...

Right up there with the ending of Oklamhoma v Bosie State...


Watching the US swimer just ROCKET past the Frenchman was SO gratifiying...


The US was smoked, they were several feet behind, and with 50 m to go, the Trash-talking Frenach were winning, and a room of americans was kinda sad...

Then something happen, The us swimming started to go faster... 25 m to go, and the US is still behind... Then the US swimmer started to gain, some how, he gained, and 10m to go, the US is still behind, but it went from looking imposible, no, just mere inches seperate them... Everyone moved to the edge of their seat, Now the US and French are right next to each other... both touch the wall right away, and the USA lane lights up first, USA wins...

There were a few of us in the room watching, we all started jumping up and down and SCREEMING... i know we werent alone... i think millions around the US must have been screaming...

Stupid, insanely great...

A South Korean was caught doping, and forfieted 2 medals..., by the result of which, brought a US-member into the Bronze inboth cases...


The US is back in the lead... Just don't ecpect the Anti-American media to tell you that...

THis ties him with Mark Spitz for MOST golds during a SINGLE olymics games...

He already owns more Olympic Golds then ANYONE in HiSTORY...

Hey I would really appreciate it if you could edit your post to say a North Korean was caught doping instead of "South Korean". Be accurate in what you post and be aware that the Korean peninsula was divided into North and South Korea, the North being a communist dictatorship and the South being a democracy.
