Did McCain know about Georgia early?

Seems funny that McCain makes a big deal about world politics as an election issue and bam there is a War starting by troops we trained. Is it reasonable that we had 1,500 troops there at the time peacekeepers were killed to start it. Do you think that one of our people could have started the whole thing ? It would bring world politics to the fore front in our election with less than 90 days to go would it not? Perfect timing with the games and now for it to get going our news is so wrapped up in a democrat cheating on his dying wife. Seems to be just what McCain needed to make people worry just in time for the election.

Quite possible. He did or should have known about the above story, which would would/should have clued him into any advance knowledge in gov't circles, if they did in fact know.
