Anyone got info about the Large Hadron Collider?
I think this proves how little they really know about this
Large Hadron Collider (LHC)

"As the LHC supposedly gears up, Harvard physicist Kevin Black, based at CERN, investigates rumors that the particle accelerator may, in fact, soon be shut down €”by ripples from the future."

This experiment should be canceled if you ask me... At least until we know more about it's effects..

I don't know why they hyped today as the day if today wasn't the day. Supposedly, they've begun injecting the collider, but the Big Experiment isn't going to happen until October now.

I dont think they have put protons into the collider yet, I think about one more month untill that happens

Quote from article

That's the part I couldn't get my head around. How could you ever design an experiment that would disprove future causal influence on a current condition? I just can't imagine how one could do that, but I am open to suggestions. Any ideas?

That is a #ing good question

This morning, I followed a link I found right here on ATS, which is how I found out about the injection. I'm sorry I can't be more specific, but I know for certain it was a link here on ATS.

"They" didn't ........... the Internet did.

Hell, even after posted that the collision isn't until later in the year, people on the 'net (including here) kept going on about today, the 8th, is LHC Doomsday.

Well, I'm second-guessing myself now. I could swear today was the Big Day. Now, suddenly, it isn't.

I wish the people who make these announcements would stop creating their own drama and give people a straight answer for a change.

I'm at the point where I don't believe anything anyone says anymore. You just can't rely on what people tell you. It's ridiculous.

Absolutely right ! Thanks for noticing!
How do I move it to the Science & Tech forum or something?
Or is that in the hands of the admins?
Didn't mean it to land in this one...

I sincerely hope you are not serious. The Large Hadron Collider could house some of the greatest discoveries of our age, possibly bringing us into new science. We'd be doing a disservice to the world if it were canceled.

I mean at least wait for a while, so we can think this one through once more..
It's seems to pop up new discoveries about it all the time...
But I agree with you... It shouldn't be shut down forever..
Just till we know what we are doing..

I spent a few years looking very deeply at Quantum mechanics. It's a strange place that we live in. Well during my research I ran across this video that might be of some help on this topic. It does not go into much detail but, the research on this topic is and has been done.

Here is the video:

I really would like to know when they intend to push the button on this mega science project. Perhaps someone could create some kind of countdown clock, so that everyone can tune in for the great event.

We really need this as several people that I know intend to put a paper bag over their heads & lie down on the floor.

Cheers

The Clock was reset yesterday it can be found here :

I am wondering about "Retro Causation" now

Skekke,
I am always glad to provide any knowledge that I attain, you can't take it with you. So we might all want to share what we know.

While thinking about this theory I come up with another line of thinking. Logically this isn't true as if ripples do stop our machine from working from the future explosion where scientists from the future have collided hadrons then why didn't their machine shut down ? What I am trying to say is how would this even ever occur if the machines are always turned off ? =/

bring the collider in Mars and do the test there?

If these guys want to play god with subatomic reality (and hence all reality), then they need to pack up their collider and move to some dark object beyond the Kuiper Belt, and leave the rest of the solar system out of their potentially world-ending shenanigans.
