Hi, new member here, you all got me casually looking at the Mar's images, aand I think there is something odd about this one.

www.areo.info...

Look in the lower right-hand corner, it looks like a sharp change in terrain, almost like a planned plot of land. Can anyone kind of explain this to me?

drastic change of terrain is actually common, i dont know how many time ive gone hiking in the woods only to all off a sudden seem to be climbing rocky terrain with no trees around at all

kinda looks like a bluff or something happening in that photo

i dont think its something planned though

Totally agree, excccept, you've done your hiking here (hopefully) on Earth. According to what we've been 'told' there should be no plant life on mars...its supposed to be a barren land right?

Looks like rocky ground giving way to sandy ground. I'm no geologist, but I've seen similar pictures of deserts here on Earth. But that's my guess from one picture that's kinda hard to make many details out of.

May be I'm wrong but it appears that the rocky portion is a slope that goes down in a direction away from the camera, and the smooth stripe of land is in background. Angles are flat.

Btw, I dont recommend that site as a reference as all images there are changed/edited by them.
