Gonna jump in a little late here...apologies.

I think htis is really rather interesting. I like the way that the OP has put this together. I'm not seeing any of the ususal hoax rubbish like offering further proof at a later date, or trying to sell a DVD.

I'm sensing an honest, unusual experience. I had a look at the YT version of the vid and it's kinda freaked me out to be honest.

I just feel a little uncomfortable right now.

I'm pretty sure that the image analysis experts will creep forward soon and give us more info, but as far as I'm concerned I smell an honest OP with an interesting story.

Personally, I would definitely interview some of the other witnesses and pop it on a podcast here.

Looking forward to seeing how this develops.

In the walkthrough video you uploaded, you don't have the "face" in this?
Couldn't find it.

The pic you posted of your back deck with the racoons, showed a 3 tiered light, whatever it was, maybe a solar light from a garden? Imageshack won't load the pic now to look at it again. This light fixture, looked alot like the "ufo", same shape and colour, except that the ufo shot only showed one light, whereas the deck pic showed 3 lights vertically aligned. I think what you filmed that night, just might be this light. and not a ufo. I wouldn't depend on the emboss tool in photoshop, because it's just meant to give an illusion of embossing.

I will be watching to see if anything new comes your way. I was surprised when you said S. Tahoe because quakes and sulfur smells have been coming from that area and something is going on within that whole area.

I do know ufo activity picks up when something major is going to happen because they record everything.

Im seeing..the 3 vertically aligned lights as a reflection of the flash from the camera as the powerpole's reflective tape accross the street.

I have talked to one more neighbor today, they remember hearing the sirens, no choppers.
I got a hold of reporter for the local paper and asked if they had any reports for the night of the 5th she said shed get back with me.

also talked to a law worker in town and he said theirs no way I can get dispatch to release publicly their records for the night of the 5th unless I a judge to back me..

she also that at 9:15 Tuesday evening at around the same time as this incident , there was two bicyclists that collided and were flown out of town ..
So yes a chopper was used for that ..but that situation was completely on the other side of town many miles away.

and I know the choppers they use for those evacs, they are really bright suckers..not something you would miss if they flew in a circle around your house for 20 minutes.

The house on the right side of the picture, has a window above the garage. The top portion appears not to have window coverings, and if a light was on inside that house that night, is it possible this window is the "ufo"? It's similar in shape.

I still find the face to be the most interesting ...

The OP can correct me on this, but I believe he said he lives in California, not Nevada where the other Lake Tahoe is located. Nevada had the unusual quake activity.

Aside from this, I don't see any correlation between EQ's and UFO's.

In looking at the video of that night and seeing how i moved the camera it very well could be that window right there ..well holy molly..ill bet ya thats what the thing is ..how bout that.

I agree this most likely debunks the ufo part, but what about the face? The pics posted of "the face" never showed what I saw in the video, that looked like a face. Unless you turned the camera towards yourself, at one point and it was your face!

I appreciate your thoroughness in putting this together, and at least you are open to accepting other explanations

Anyways it reminded me of the time I first noticed my neighbours across from me had a bubble skylight on the roof. Of all the years at looking at their house, one day they turn the light on, and it illuminated and it looked like some pod had landed. Apparantly it had always been there, not a new installation. The only reason it triggered an odd reaction in me is because they were a bit strange. The guy used to climb a ladder, quite regularly and vacuum his roof. It was a sloped roof. Who the hell vacuums their roof? My previous neighbour from another street, vacuumed her driveway every week. I've heard of being clean, but this takes the cake

I'm relieved and most thankful for violet for spotting that one..I should have caught that myself but for some reason it didn't come to me.

I just went outside and didnt see that same light..and in last nights replay of the same shooting posted earlier it was not on..and I cant wait to see it on so i can settle this for myself ..but im almost 100% sure that is what it was now..

I'm sure that was not my face *L*..
i was looking at the video again today and noticed the lights trailing off at the end..
i managed to match them to the house across the street..one white ..two orange kinda..note the angle the white light is in perspective to the the two orange lights....now match that with other picture/videos of the house in the day and night ..

form what i can see it seems as the face faded i had the camera proceeding into a turn counter clock wise...

so you can see the lights swinging twords a counter clockwise direction frame by frame..starting from fade out of the face to closing..
the arc of the lights and the speed of the turning of the camera can be almost calculated from the frame by frame advancement..

so it at first seems that this 'face' was located above the house and on its side..so then the question came to mind ..
so was the camera on its side to take a picture of a face to show it right side up?

OR from having calculated the speed of the turning camera frame by frame it seems to come to right side up just as the face was fading out of view ..

Tommorow..in the day i will go to the exact spot..judging by the lights of the house and stand and take a few still shots and then turn the camera on and do the same turning thing...

and Im almost certain we can make out what this was..

I kinda looked at that spot today and it seems that if it was an 'thing' it would have to be on top of deck hanging off the edge or on top crouching on the banister ..we can see more exactly tomorrow..

thats if you want to proceed in finding out the face part of this..

I have run the original Quicktime "FACE" video through Adobe Premiere
doing simple brightness/contrast ratio enhancement,
greyscale embossing, video slowdown and a zoom-in of 200%
to TRY and bring out more detail.

The enhanced video is 640 by 480 pixels with 22khz mono sound
in Microsoft AVI MPGE-4 format which is available

The video is too blurry and dark to TRULY make out anything
of any significance. Unfortunately, tricks of light and motion
could make anyone see what they want to BELIEVE.

In my opinion the video is of the right upper shoulder of a person
with a small extension of a facial profile. The sudden jerk
out of frame indicates the movement was VERY fast and based upon
a statement that the camera was chest high at the time indicates
that it is possibly of someone of very small stature (i.e. 5'0" or so)

I am NOT saying this is an alien
merely someone small and fast....

Or, are you giving into to the nay-sayers because that it easier than standing your ground?

for the light being that window ..yeah..99% sure.
same size same angle, pluss the given possibility that it has the ability to glow!

the way i moved the camera at the time..

I don't remember seeing that on..but the occupants of the house might have turned it on momentarily ..

The idea that it was a ufo is now up against solid facts..
im with the facts right now.

I cant wait to see that light on now..its just going to make this 100% for me.

as for the face thats real creepy..and i just don't want to believe that ..
I cant wait to get some day shots and put that one to bed with the ufo idea..

Am I the only person in this thread who sees a clear view of a face in a video the OP posted, saying "there's a face"? Forget shoulders and profiles of a face, and bits of a face that may not even be a face. The face is very clear. This face is so clear, it's why I asked if it's possible it was the OP's face. If it's not his face, it's indeed mysterious, if he held the camera as he stated he did, and that he felt he was alone on the deck.

OP is this how you see this face, with eyes, chin, mouth, nose - frontal view?
At the very bottom left of the video screen?

To the last poster who called me a naysayer; I asked the OP if it's possible this window could be the ufo. He afterall, is the person who lives near this house to check again, and the one who was there that night making this video. It's up to him to decide whether or not he agrees if I'm right or wrong. I didn't push him into accepting my observations ....
