They look painted because they are (some of them). They're false color pictures. And others, like the ones with the night lights, they're composite pictures. That's not exactly how they see it from the orbit, like, for instance, there are no clouds visible in those pictures.

Cool presentation, i enjoyed it very much! One of the pictures in the end, with the astronaut and new zealand in the background is actually my desktop picture

Beautiful pictures and music. Thank you for letting me see my home and it made me smile in awe of how small we really are. Our planet is powerful and we only get to stand on it for a short time so make it a goodtime.

When you see hoe much is lit up at night it's amazing we have the natural resources to power it all.

Fantastic pictures, when you see the astronauts out there with the Earth in the background it just makes you think how small we really are, i'm sitting here with the curtains open and i couldn't help but look up to the skies and just think how amazing it would be to be out there!

great stuff,we as humans should count ourself very lucky to live in this blue beauty.vids like these and many others should be shown to kids in schools on a regular basis,,
some people just dont get the big picture,time to open eyes and learn..

It just makes you wonder what else is out there that we dont know about!

This is a very nice video, makes me feel comfortable...I'm at work right now and the workplace is just ridiculous, like I work with a bunch of middle schoolers.

Just watching this makes me feel a whole lot better. I just can't believe how majority of people overlook their very own source of life.

Just think, those who are living beyond our planet who catch a glimpse of our beautiful land from a distance wouldn't even guess it's over run with violent creatures who launch missiles and start wars with each other.

that was some the most beautiful shots of the earth i have ever seen. and to think that we all guilty of doing harm to our great planet, we call home. it really puts things into perspective when you see how almost pure the pics are.

The reality of beauty is it's a trap. Any alien stupid enough or full of false alien faith in human kind will be killed in a blink of a muzzle flash. I read in the enquire once, an alien landed in new yorks central park and cops found it all mugged and stuff. My warning to all life in the universe, avoid coming to the big blue marble unless you want to be shot, stabbed, mugged, beaten or have all your property confiscated and your brain scanned by our government. Don't say you were warned.

Otherwise, fly on by cause things look good till you step in it.

Anyone remember the words to the song: God is watching us (from a distance)?

I've said it all along, if man could fly to higher heights more often and with greater proficiency, there would be more appreciation of this planet we live on, and maybe even less war. Thanks for sharing this!

OP, thanks so much for sharing this fab flash. It is a view that we all should take once in awhile....it is the view that is Divine and allows all our little problems to vanish in the distance. The Beauty overcomes the ugly....the Divine overcomes the evil.....This must be the view....when we are "seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus....! I believe it! Many blessings to all my friends here....to ALL who seek truth and will not settle for the mundane and banal....
