If you can, when trying to capture faint objects in the dark, use a longer shutter time, and increase the the iso, if your camera allows. You also want to use the max aperture setting.

Hi,

this is my first post... actually I signed in some minutes ago, since my anonymous post was apperently not accepted by the mods, i.e., it didn't show up. Since I mostly can't remember my passwords, this will also be my last post.

I'm from Germany, Kiel: we had a foggy night, some brown/reddish clouds (I assume typical for a city's clouds at night - with many red/yellow lights, located at the surface of the earth thingy), no stars visible, seen a funny plane around 6 pm today, some humming 4 hours ago, which, after investigation, was actually coming from the store next door.

Summa summarum: I opened my eyes and ears today a bit more than usually. Felt good. Did see some more chicks than usual. Plus the above mentioned phenomena. I tried to imagine that this is all real, which was astonishingly easy for me. A very interesting experiment.

OK. Now that I've given some substantial OT stuff, I hope that my original, innocent and tiny message might hopefully be allowed to appear on this board - laissez faire. I think it was originally a response to something on around page 93; so this is waaaay behind.

I know I'm gonna deminish the fun of some people here watching some other people reply to the Admiral's posts... but, hmm dunno how to express this properly in english... well, I think Mr. Admiral plays a fair game and really has done his best to point out that his words are ment to be ironical.

Look Mason ...I do not believe in UFOs you know that ..so I dont believe this will happen at all ...
I do think something could happen ..(not that it will be aliens )..

It's already been established that there are Alabamas outside the US

It's pretty much been agreed that the event would be seen in the Southern Hemisphere

There are Alabamas IN the Southern Hemisphere

There are STATES in continents as well as Alabamas in the Southern Hemisphere

It is now 2.30 in the afternooon ... in the Southern Hemisphere .. and there is nothing happening

It seems reasonable to accept that the message was NOT specific to the US at all

Why not grab some sleep and be ready for the real world tomorrow ?
