your sarcasm doesn't bother me. Just helps to show your true colors. you post a thread so people can give their opinion, that may or may not be to your liking. If it isn't to your liking you try to humiliate or say something sarcastic to them. It's ok I understand some people can't handle the truth. That's why you try to pound everything you believe into people who don't buy everything you sell. I have dealt with other Obama supporters and have agreed and disagreed with them in a cordial manner. I guess that's asking for too much for a person who feels obligated to post thousands of threads about everything negative he can find on McCain, no matter how minute. As far as going somewhere, welcome to America and ATS where I plan to stay.

when "opinions" are nothing more than derailment, copuled with immature insults and childish name calling, yeah - i have a problem with that.

The topic is "john McCain vs John mccain"

Care to discuss that one? Or do you really enjoy the bickering you've helped create?

Listen, I don't ever recall McCain saying he isn't a politician. So I expect him to flip flop on issues. He did it in 2000 too. And mentioning your candidate is not derailing your thread. You posted this to to make your candidate look like he does no wrong. But in reality he is worse because he says he is a change to Washington but in reality he is the same as McCain, a politician.

your attempts at psychology are stunning.....and not in a good way.

I posted this about McCain. This is not about Obama.

Care to stick to the subject? Or is it really that hard of a subject for your to fathom?

You dont ever recall mccain saying he isnt a politician?

What about "straight talk express"

Politicians don't have the wrap sheet that they do by experimenting with straight talk. McCain promised a clean election, and now come the smears.

My candidate has nothing to do with this thread.

But obviously you could care less. Pretty simple really:

Stick to the subject. If thats too hard for you to do, go somewhere else.

You will learn very quickly that you need to show some respect to other posters here Andrew.

He stuck to the subject, but you seem to want to find a violation in every post that doesn't agree with you. You've done it at least 4 times in the past hour and half, several times to members that have been here several years.

We may not all agree on a subject, but we can still be respectful to a point. Its ok to disagree and even argue, but when it comes to being rude and disrespectful you will learn very quickly it doesn't fly with other members on here.

This is all I have left to say to you. I will be taking up the issue with the mods and hope other posters that have been disrespected do the same.

I was discussing the topic. How come you get to go off topic by bringing up how well McCain is doing but I can't respond? You think that's how discussion works? You get to say your side and that's it? I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think that's how this is supposed to work.

And you're comment was stupid. It's obvious what you were saying but then you respond to my post with "I didn't say anything about poll numbers. Quit going off topic". If you can find another word other than "stupid" to define what that is, feel free to let me know so I can use that one instead.

Now feel free to respond to my earlier post instead of harping on the "derailing" of the thread. You seem to be the one derailing it by constantly posting about how its being derailed rather than posting a reply to my posts.

Do you intend on replying to my post, or are you going to pull the typical liberal maneuver and refuse to talk about it?

Ahem

Lets put those partisan pistols back in the holsters eh? Kindly stay on topic and lets not get personal eh? If you feel the need to go all ad hominem perhaps its time to step back, get a beverage of choice from the fridge or wine cellar and peruse the myraid of other NON political threads that can be found here on ATS.

Now back to the debate at hand.............

Cheers

Look... This video demonstrates that John Mccain is a politician. So what?
I'm sure one could find a comparable Obama video in 2 seconds. So what?

This is a thread on Mccain!

Andrew is right, address the obvious inconsistencies that the video demonstrates.
Or make an Obama thread!

Courtesy of the 'Drive By Left Wing Blogosphere' (did I get that right Mr. Limbaugh?), John McCain has flip-flopped on the following issues: Signing of the GI Bill, Campaign reform, Alien Minors Act/Immigration, Gay Marriage, Abortion, Nuclear Waste Storage, Negotiating with Kim Jong-Il, Negotiating with Cuba/Castro, Negotiating with Hamas/Terrorists, Relations with Pakistan, Warrantless Wire-taps, Torture, Iraq War, Tax Cuts, Estate Tax, Privatizing Social Security, Balanced Budget, Windfall Profits Tax, Offshore Drilling, Coyotes..Bush Big Time Fund Raisers, "Agents of Intolerance", Martin Luther King Holiday, Confederate Flag, Evolution in Public Schools, Restoring the Everglades, Swiftboating, GITMO/Habeus Corpus, Divestment from South Africa, Opposing Hurricane Katrina Investigations, McCain On His Economic Abilities, On Criticizing Obama While "Overseas", Temperment and Temper, Drilling For Oil and Automobile Efficiency, Offshore Drilling, Payroll Taxes and Ethics Reform and Abramoff. www.dailykos.com...

I would have listed the links that they provided verbatim, but that would be plagerism, so if you want to deny each of those flip flops please see that site for the links they provide. Each one is documented.

Sure makes complaining about flip flopping on a changing energy market (oil reserves/offshore drilling) and slave reparations look silly when McCain has changed his positions so much, no one knows what he really stands for. How many times has Obama flip flopped his position on legislation that he either introduced or sponsored? None that I can find. McCain has done it, with two examples presented in the list.

When I read the title of this thread, I thought it must be dealing with those specific examples of flip flopping on legislation you either sponsored or introduced.

There is no way anyone can try to come out hard on Obama for his perceived flips while overlooking McCain's numerous flip flops of his own. But that seems to be the modus operandi for the McCain campaign. To attack your opponent your own flaws and miscues.

McCain 2000 vs. McCain 2008 is an interesting juxtaposition. McCain 2008 is much more like Bush 2000, that McCain himself. Did he learn from a 'winner'? I don't think so.

Who wins in a McCain vs McCain debate? Obama.

You know what BOTH sides...

What do we expect?

These are guys who are trying to please as many of the 340,000,000
Americans they can.

If we did not chastise them so hard core then maybe we all could address the issues.
Politics is chess and illusion not reality!

If Mccain digs the confederate flag good for him.
If he does or does not believe in gay marriage, well I don't know...

All I know is that he is trying to walk the line,,, trying to please his base who tends to
sort of view gay people as" sub" _______ while trying to not seem like a bigot.

Human nature 101

MY Candidate is trying to walk the line as well.

THE whole lot of us perpetuate this , he did this, ya, your guy did this,,,

We all have either blue or red colored glasses IMO!

I did. He didn't respond.
Go figure.

Actually that is because he already told us that he's leaving and he bidded adieu in his last post. Or did you not notice?

Taking politics to one side for now, even though I have seen the video before, you have to admit, it is funny and well edited. Thanks for adding a little humour to the site.

he totally bombs on the gay marriage.

Hilarious

I think you're reading more into what he said Andrew. He initially said he supported gay ceremonies, but he never said they should be legally recognized. He didn't lie or change his stance in the second instance.

His opinion didn't go over well with some of the audience, but he still stated his honest opinion, when he could have just as easily tried to pander the gay vote. you should applaud his integrity not try to twist his word around.

I thought you wanted to speak about real issues not innuendos dude..
