RIYADH (AFP) - Saudi Arabia's religious police have announced a ban on selling cats and dogs as pets, or walking them in public in the Saudi capital, because of men using them as a means of making passes at women, an official said on Wednesday.

I've seen similar things, like banning of roses? and arresting boys hanging around in a mall because of fear of them trying to attract women.

Saudi's goverment really needs to change, it's those wahabis man. Full of stupid rules and laws that have nothing to do with true islam, but to do with control over the people.

Why is bush friends with such a stupid goverment?

Don't go to Saudi Arabia if you're pet shopping?

In my experience women make a fuss of the pet and ignore the owner (maybe that's just me ) - but then I've never walked a dog in Saudi Arabia.
