Have you changed since you have come to ATS?

The way you think of things?
The way you watch the news?

This is more geared towards the longer-term members, but memebers who have been here only a little while(

generaly i will look at things alot more, see the issues at hand and try my best to have a mutual standpoint (doesnt work always)

hasnt changed, i still pay notice and watch it closely

Your political views?
hasnt changed, but over the last few years i have become more of a person who doesnt care about political parties as they are just a bunch of corrupt slugs who only serve their intrests.


Your veiws on certain topics?
some topics i keep out of as its just to heated as i have found some members will not listen to others and will continue to spew their crap even if they are debunked by a member or several members.

I think ATS has changed us all...

Like when you are gaining weight, you can put on those 15 pounds before you notice...


I think we change, the longer we are here... The more we read on topics, the more we get a diffrent perspective...


We are given an opperrtunity to talk to people from ALL OVER...
Muslims
Chiniese
Americans
Aussies
Brits...


Its glorious... you will get a perspective from outside your world...

As an American, there is much that i do not know about the world, and being able to speak to people, almost instantly, across ats, we can convey messages that a hundred years ago, couldn't have been fathomed...

ATS has a cross-section of people, from EVERY corner of the WORLD, and Every type of person...


There is nothing better then having a disscusion with someone online, and they are taking it seriously as well... Try having some of the disscusions that we have here at the 'Prestigious Liberal Universities' and you will be ran off campus...

This is the place of free speech, this is where Plato, or Cicero, or Niche would be hanging... This is were Thomas Jefferson would hang... Make no mistake, he would have posted his Federalist Documnets here... Cicero would have posted his anaylast of the senate... Niche his disgusts with paris...


THis is the greatest 'philosopher' and 'thinker' fourm in the world... An amphitheature, in which ANYONE can join in, and have a disscusion...

This truely is a gift, a gift that No other population in time has had the privilidge to experience...

Its possible that in the near future, places like this will be outlawed... Everything in history points to it... When they seize power... We will be mute...

This month I will have been here a year.

ATS has become many things for me. It's a place I go to hear other opinions concerning what's happening in our world.

When a situation upsets me I look to ATS for a voice of reason and I always find it.

Yes, there are some threads that are ridiculous but they are entertaining.

The way I feel about issues hasn't changed but have been reinforced through the discussions we have.

The best thing is that I am not alone in my thoughts anymore. It's a wonderful feeling to be with like minded people.

ATS has become my refuge from a world of ignorance.

Long live ATS.

Edit to add: BTS is very special also. It is a bright spot in a our troubled times.

No. I've always been very analytical.

A little. ATS made me more conspiratorial while watching the news- on the rare occasion I watch it. It's so sad and things make me overly angry so I don't watch the news a lot.

Your political views:
No. Still a die-hard conservative.

Your views on certain topics:
Absolutely. I haven't done a total 180 on anything I believed before but my eyes sure have been opened on a lot of things and instead of being a staunch believer in something, now I am more of a fence sitter as ATS exposed me to the arguments of the opposing view I was not aware of before joining here.

Are you better off for the effort:
Not sure. I've gotten weirder and more paranoid. My family was the first to notice. lol
