The Lisbon Treaty and the Irish Voters

Hello, This is thread is my own rundown of the Lisbon treaty and try to explain why
Why: The Irish voters voted Rejcted the treaty
Why: It was passed in every other EU country
Why: The French President wants to bypass the Irish no vote and How he plans to do it
Why: The treaty is negative for Europe
Why: If the treaty is passed any ways there will be widespread Revolt in Ireland and the EU

And i would be glad to answer any other questions you have after reading this

What is the Lisbon treaty?
The treaty is basically a re-hash of the old "EU Treaty" that was voted out by England and France a few years ago
The treaty implements one EU army composing of whatever % a single eu nation wants to put there forces into , the nice way the "yes" people wanted to call this was " a voluntary EU defense force" when , if this was implemented , the army would be on par to rival NATO or any other big , well armed army, the army was voluntary but if you didn't put in your forces then if your nation was invaded then..oh look?..no other EU nation would come to aid , unless you had troops in this army
It also gave all law making laws, and i mean all law making laws to one EU paralimanet comprising of a council of all countrys of the EU however, say they wanted to vote in a law, 2/3 of the council must vote yes for it to be passed, if you don't want that law to be implemented you vote no, but what happens when every nation votes yes?..your stuck with a law that is detrimental to your nation , I will explain more of the Lisbon treaty through-out the thread


First off, I'm an Irish citizen
It was weird that Ireland, for a few odd weeks was the attention of the political world and what it meant
If we voted No then we would be shun by the rest of the EU (their leaders any ways) and if we voted Yes we would off been voting EU into an even more controlling "big brother" state that it already was
On the run up there was just so much confusion on what the lisbon treaty actualy did, the "yes" campaigners said it was great for the economy , less taxes , more jobs etc..
The no campaigners said that the treaty would take away your rights (as i belive it did) and introduce European laws in ireland and every other EU country that the individual country did not want or even vote on themselves

I would love to able to try and explain the treaty to you, But the actual wording of the treaty itself is made so a simple man who has no knowledge of legal issues would not be able to understand , and any govement sponserd campaigns to try and explain them where highly basied to the "yes" side,and there was little to none main stream no campaigns
So to my first point , Why the Irish voters said "No"
I belive we voted no because (this is not an insult to any other nation) ..but, we are not idiots
We saw that any thing of that magnitude causing that much controversy must be more than just the "oh them nay sayers are just crazy", so we looked into it , many high politions even tho every Irish parliment party supported the treaty , dipossed it and said it was not good for the Ireland but more importantly it was not good for the EU , and even the tabloid papers that are not even worth the paper there printed on wised up to what was going on and relised that we were being jested by out leaders and that they were just being puppeted by the EU and to a further extent , big corporations

We saw through the lies our politicians were trying to feed us and almost in some cases, people voted no in spite just so they couldn't go through with there plans of making the EU "one" , even tho they probably didn't understand the treaty

To My next point
Why It was passed in every other EU country

Take a look, Ireland is the ONLY country to have a referendum on the treaty , every other state that voted yes on the treaty only had a parliament vote and the population never had a say
It is in the constitution that any major law changes must be voted through by a referendum by the people, and if voted no,

Ireland must have No part in whatever law that is
So what do you think the outcome would be if the treaty had a referendum in every EU country
Freaking sure it would be voted no 90% of them, thats a god damn fact

Why?, Because he wants the EU to have total control and knowing France is one of the more powrfull contrys in the EU France would leverage in the EU , and not to mention he is one of th key members in the NWO but i will not delve into that as i want this to be as straight forward as possible
He is a bad man who wants nothing other than power and controll , he is a zoinist and a well known mossad agent
He plans to over turn the no vote by making us vote again, and probably again till he gets a yes vote that he wants and if that doesn't work, he will just bypass the no vote alltogther and ask the Irish govement to vote , and that will be an almost 100% yes
Thats my friends, is where the problem starts , The very definition of dictorship and tryranny is this, ignoring what the people want and what they have stated what they want for there own country , in a legal election and yet, that being Thrown out any ways, nothing better than whats happening in zibabwae right now

Why
The treaty is negative for europe

It gives complete controll to power, money hungry pigs , and unfairly so
The bigger your country, the more votes it had on a "Lisbon treaty inflicted parliament" I.E , Germany, france, UK , would have the most votes, while countrys like Ireland,luxemborg and Holland would have less
Alott like the way the president of the US is voted in the way the bigger states give more points or whatever
So as i stated before, even if you think a law is bad for your country , unless the bigger states like France think so as well, you have no voice and public referendums would be a thing of the past

And so my final and most important point

Why
If the treaty is passed any ways there will be Revolt in Ireland and the Eu
People are not stupid anymore
People are sick of leaders being lying Snakes who only want to line there own pockets and get an ego rush from having power
Ireland, a country who holds its independence high , as for fighting for it for 100's of years and still fighting for it, will not give it up so easy and if it was voted away , god damn i cannot describe the scenes, there will be politicians bloods running in the streets
Eamon delevara must be turning in his grave if he saw what was happening now , and if you people thought the trouble in the north was bad?, wait to see what happens if this voted in behind our backs
It is the single most sickest thing ever to be done on the EU stage and that french Idoit is to blame,

I had No idea Sarkozy was head of the E.U. President? (forgive me if I'm wrong.) American news as it is and we haven't had cable in MANY months.
But, the E.U. seems to be an octopus, grabbing every country it can

I applaud you for going to the trouble of explaining this very complex issue. In a nutshell, this is the New World Order part 1. The NWO was formed in Europe, so it make sense that they would try their first take-over in Europe.

Their dirty brothers in the US are watching with great intent, salivating at the thought of global domination.

The people of Ireland need to dig deep and DO NOT allow these fascist bully boys get their way!

NWO - go to Mars, there is much less resistance there, and you can have the whole place to yourselves...

Firstly, a very good effort at what the treaty is, well explained and detailed. However.

You have far to much faith in the population en masse, i bet you anything that when they pass this (and they will), all that will happen is a bit of complaining. The tablodis will explode with the news, evena couple of the broadsheets, the people will whinge a bit, maybe one or two will have the fortitude to write to their local politician. In the end though it'll die down, the world will spin some more and the amalgamation of europe into one country willl be well on it's way.

It's a sad political time we live in.

Ok i think ive said this maybe...threee times cant remember...if Ireland votes no again...you will be thrown out of the EU imo.. they are NOT going back to the drawing board with this treaty for another few years...either say yes or get out,thats democracy for yah!

No, you voted no because you could. The rest of Europe's citizens aren't idiots, they just weren't given a choice like you were.

That statment was never an insult to anyone else,
I'm sorry if you took offence i did not mean to offend anyone by that remark
True, But we had the choice to vote yes too, Irish people just didnt vote no because we could, we voted no because we saw how outragous the treaty was

It still gets me that we here in the UK were promised a vote on the constitution, when the treaty came along and was virtually identical (and still giving a lot of law making power to europe) we suddenly wern't allowed to vote. I wrote numerous MP's, got the standard responses. People just can't get off their lazy backsides to do something, yet they all complain at your local pub.

Talk, that's all this country boils down to, talk without action.

I belive they can
I belive if you push people enough to the point were they are at breaking point then people will take a stand against their goverment, Be it a boycott, revolution, hunger strike etc..
Look at the cival rigths movment in the 60's , All it took to push african americans over the line was the rosa parks incident
So if thats all it took for a race off people to begin a world changing event
What do you think passing a no-good treaty behind the backs of europeian people in a country that has been fighting for its soverighnty for 100's of years

You cannot possibly compare the issues involved or the times. The most recent real ritos in the UK that got the government to change their minds was the poll tax riots. It was a different time, people were struggling horribly and the idea of classes was a strong movement. Now those people with set positions and strong morals have all but disappeared.

The only time people in this country will revolt is if they're starving, unable to drive where they want or are missing the latest episode of big brother on tv.

Of course its nothing compaired to 2 decades ago, but the UK and Ireland are headed for a massive depression
So weather we like it or not we will be starving and wont be able to drive , and i can garentee you we wont care about Big brother when there are roits in the streets and your kids are starving
I think you dont give people enough credit , We are capable of anything if we really care about the subject and i trust in my fellow countrymen and british,scotish,whelsh people to do somthing about it when the time arises that the people need to take a stand

Quite simply no, it's not all taht bad, yes it's troublesome but the people in trouble are mostly the ones who overextended themselves and lived beyond their means. The worst that will happen to them is losing their houses and getting something a lot smaller.

I think it's still a bit of a see-saw that one, it's very possible but i don't think decided just yet. Recession yes, despression maybe, but looking more likely each day.

I don't have kids, for so many good reasons including the financial aspect, my young age and many other reasons. However i don't think anyones kids will be starving, unless there is a disaster of some kind. A depression would be horribly bad i agree.

I think you give people to much credit, their mins have been volentarily dulled by big brother, celebrity and everything that is flashy and unimportant. I swear anytime there is a problem the government just dangles something shiny in front of the british public, like a small child they respond so often.

Forgive my cynicism, i've just seen to many things happen and all people do is complain, they don't even write to their mp's and councillors. They barely exercise their right to free speech and half of them don't vote.

I hope i'm wrong though and you are right, i honestly do.
