Maybe it was just the CN tower you saw from a distance... it does change colours on a daily basis and it even goes through a random sequence on some days.

Now that I've registered i guess I need to start looking out for black SUV's watching my house.

Anyway,
I live just outside of Toronto and last night just before midnight I was outside with my dog and he got really spooked. Couldn't see anything in my backyard so I looked up and I could only see 4 stars in the sky. there were three to the north east that were in a straight line but seemed to bounce up and down. I scanned the rest of the sky and saw that the brightest star in the sky was to my west hovering very low just over the roof of the house behind me. It also appeared to be bouncing up and down. I knew my camera wasn't charged so i didn't bother doing anything with it, I was more worried about my dog. We came inside and sat in the living room together and he seemed to relax a little bit when all of a sudden he jumped up and ran into the kitchen and went under the table, he wasn't scared of me at all , i seemed to comfort him but he never left my side for the rest of the night, which is very weird for him. After that i charged my camcorder and eventually taped how he was acting because I had never seen him like this and wanted reference incase it happened again. I had pretty much forgot about the stars after he got scared the second time.

I went to bed around 3 and remembered the stars and wanted to take another look. from my window i couldn't see the first three stars but now had a better view of the one to the west and it had moved about ten inches (from my perspective) higher then it was before and appeared to be moving in a tight circular pattern, its hard to explain the colour of it but it had a blue tint to it like the headlights of newer higher priced cars. if that makes sense.

I went back down and got my camera and brought it back to the window and looked through the viewfinder but couldn't see the stars, it doesn't record very good at night and I've yet to buy a light to attach to it. by this point the longer i looked at the star the more scared and anxious and I didn't like it at all so pulled down the blind and laid in bed for atleast half an hour trying to relax before falling asleep.

I don't know if there is any connection at all but way before I read this thread i thought something strange was going on in the GTA skies. Either way, I felt like we were being watched last night. To come on this website and see that post just feels like way too much of a coincidence. I really hope Buds isn't scared away and that he posts the footage he took because I really want to see if it is similar at all to what my dog and I witnessed. I'm positive there was something going on and Im going to be watching again tonight and hopefully Ill have my camera set up properly to take night shots.

This thread is 100% BS.

The size of the thread happened to be 1 micron smaller than the BS filter. Lucky this thread has been active this long. I see two maybe three posters that are the SAME INDIVIDUAL.

The linked video in youtube is the same doink that has been making all the fake inner citty videos where the lights (always white lights) are doing the same ole same ole and then suddenly fly/fade towards the heavens.

It's irritating me to no end to see these extremely horrible videos posted. There really needs to be a voting / approval process for threads and only voted on by members with x # of points too. Time to shrink the BS filter some more me thinks!

I don't understand how everyone jumps on someone telling them they should be immediately taking pictures. How many of you that say this have seen something you believed to be a UFO? How many of you upon seeing this immediately grabbed a camera and took pictures? As someone who has had an encounter, I can tell you that the idea of taking a picture is not the first thing that comes to mind, as a matter of fact if this is the first time having an encounter, the experience should be mind-blowing and the thought of taking a picture can easily slip by. In hindsight I wish I had the opportunity to take photos, but at the moment I was mesmerized and could not stop looking. Another thing to note, camera phones and most cameras don't even have the ability to get a worthwhile picture of objects so far away, you people need to think about these things before you post.

Yes, this is, in fact, true. The CN Tower does put on a pretty good light-show.
"Oooooh, look! It's SHINY!"

However, the CN Tower is most definately grounded.

I DO realise that 'buds' DOES in fact state that there is 'a lot of weed and swearing in the video'... so maybe he wasn't in his right mind at the time

But, give me a break. it would honestly take a complete fool to think the CN Tower was a UFO. I've smoked enough Pot (as every good canadian does
) and I can say 100% that I've never mistook it for a UFO...

Maybe a giant stupid looking glowstick, but that's about that.

One thing I'll say, though, is that living on the Scarborough Bluffs, I HAVE seen some amazing things which I can't readily explain. Lights going into the lake, among other things. There definately seems to be a lot of activity around Lake Ontario.

Unfortunately, most of you won't believe my previous statement, but really, I could care less. I know what I have seen (although I can't explain it, or its Origin)

I do hope, however, that this does end up paying off, and some proper evidence can be posted here for the rest of us to see / assess.

[/endrant]

**edit**

I would also like to offer buds the opportunity to invite me over to share his videos with me, and in turn, I'll share some of my primo bud with him.

Perhaps someone could make some suggestions or a new thread about "when you see a ufo." But if I were going to make a thread I would try to provide something, opposed to nothing. Seems like people see all kinds of outrageous things in Toranto. But the only video I watched so far was an obvious fake. I think some of us need to do our homework, all things considered. Even in a small town, if you told people here there were ufo's people would be all over the place (In Manchester, TN where most people work as opposed to Pelham where I live). But I have been to Canada (97 and 98, in fact), as well as parts of Montana, Washington, North and South Dakato, Wyoming and Idaho all during that same period. There are many natural phenomenon in the skies as well as unusual aircraft (which may or may not be related to the possibility of extraterestrials). I get a lot of stories out of Toranto though, not that I am suggesting anything. But I haven't seen anything convincing yet.

The fact is there is A LOT of air traffic in and around Toronto just like any other big city that has a near-by airport. Airplanes come and go all the time and at various times of day and night. Seeing that a Caribana festival is happening over the weekend could mean there's an increased amount of traffic carrying people in and out as well.

There are so many lights in the sky and to most people they are UFOs because they might be too far, produce no sound, etc, to be identified by the observer as "known" flying vehicles. That does NOT mean that these UFOs are of ET origin which is a fundamental mistake many make when someone says "UFO".

Just to remind you all, UFO stands for Unidentified Flying Object, *any* flying object that the observer cannot identify. It could be a brick flying through the air - if the observer cannot clearly see it as a brick then it's a UFO to him/her.

The current report from the OP has gone without answer and the new poster making claims without any evidence is just another one of many posts that you can find on the ATS these days. I am absolutely sure that everyone is tired of lights in the sky and blurry shaky videos...

Such videos really prove nothing besides that there was something self-illuminating or reflecting light in the sky or on the ground. No other factual evidence can be derived from it, even if we had 50 of those videos. We have all seen them and it's now time to move on from the appetizer to something more substantial, the "meat and potatoes" as they say, otherwise we only perpetuate this cycle of starvation.

People have been videotaping lights in the sky for several decades now. Enough is enough, either we take a next step or we just abandon the whole thing. To make a parallel, after 50 years of official space exploration, we are *still* using same old rocket engines to propel our craft into orbit and people still think this is greatest tech after sliced bread and the best we can do.

What's bad is that things are getting even worse because we can barely get a missile..err rocket into orbit these days. Either we are sooo pathetic or something else is going on...well, same goes for shiny lights in the sky.

Agreed....Btw I'm calling shenanigans on this though. Buds could have easily got a screenshot from his video and posted it, or even a small clip, but he has provided nothing which makes me believe he has nothing at all.

As for the op....Not too sure. He hasn't posted anything either.

So I'm sittin there star gazing and I see it too, but it comes down super close. My girlfriend saw it too, she was next to me (we were both cleaning our new DSLRs and our new 1000mm Lens). Then it came in even closer, we put our gear and cleaning supplies down and ran to the house and grabbed the binoculars to have a look, was amazing, definitely not of this earth. It hovered directly above our apartment complext for 10 minutes then shot off like a bullet. We would have taken pics but although we know how to upload when online if we post on ATS we can't figure out uploading! Sorry guys.

I spent last night with friends at thier cabin high in the sierra nevada mountains of california.
From the 8000' elevation of the cabin we had a clear view of the sky in all its unspoiled grandeur. We sat on the deck for a couple of hrs and watched meteors and satellites go by, then about 10:30-11:00, a dim point of light, not unlike a satellite appeared in the southwest and headed a little east of north.
We watched it for about 30 seconds, in that time it had cover half the sky, the it separated into 3 lights , they kept moving the same direction but were orbiting a common center (cart-wheeling).
They continued north for another 30 seconds, before they dissappeared from sight.
They weren't super bright, they were just like a dim satellite, or dim star, at times I lost track of them for a few seconds.
Even my companions didnt know what to think.

This is my first time posting here.

I am the owner of a small media company based out of NYC/Long Island. I recently got bitten by the Astronomy and UFO bug, and I'm looking forward to capturing some footage on my super high quality Panasonic DVX100a.

Just out of curiosity, if I do happen to capture extremely high quality UFO footage, would anyone believe it?

It seems to me the better quality the footage is, the more likely people are going to think its fake, especially considering I'm talented in the video editing industry.

Any comments?

What a bummer for all of us who don't live in Toronto.

I wonder if anything useful can be extrapolated from buds84's birthdate as listed on his profile?
