Monsanto; What is going on here?

Hello, this will be my first thread. I've been floored after watching this video about Monsanto and GE'd foods. It's scary too think what is going on with the most important aspect of our lives, food. The corporate arm of our country is tighter than I previously had thought. The negligence on the part of companies like Monsanto cannot go un-challenged, they are raping the Earth and it's inhabitance. Please watch this excellent video, it's quite good.

The idea is simple really: food is the ultimate control mechanism, because the lack of it causes impotence, the threat of lack of it causes fear and it's manipulation can cause apathy.

Why were peasants always kept hungry in the middle ages? Do you not think the feudal lords would rather let food rot than allow the peasants to become strong and rebelious?
