You have got to be kidding me? "Finally we are getting into these tribal areas"?

Well by my count we have killed or injured the #2 about 3 or 4 times now. I have to ask....is he Jesus or Felix the cat?

This is how propaganda works, we are going to tell you how well we are doing with the "War on Terror" so people will continue to support it.

Ya sorry bout the tribal areas thing I was just a little over exited about the fact that we might have killed him in that area hoping it will lead to the total annihilation of that area and that maybe we are doing something.

Dont get me wrong I know we are not doing what we should sorry if I was misunderstood just glad to hear the news if that buzzard is actually finished

Live by the sword, die by the sword. This man is/was an enemy of my people. He is a man of war. I am glad he is gone, and I am proud of our military for putting him out of business.

Update: I now see CNN is reporting that the following:

"U.S. counterterrorism officials said Friday they have seen no evidence to support a media report that al Qaeda's No. 2 official, Ayman al-Zawahiri, may be critically wounded or dead. A senior intelligence official told CNN there is no evidence to support a CBS News report on al-Zawahiri, and no reason to believe it is true.

"This is utterly uncorroborated, and at this point there is no reason to believe that al-Zawahiri has been injured or killed," another intelligence official said.

According to the CBS report, a letter intercepted in Pakistan refers to the 57-year-old physician by name and requests a doctor, saying he is in "severe pain" and his "injuries are infected."

The July 29 letter was reportedly written by a local Taliban leader whose signature and seal are on the letter, CBS said. But the network said it had not been able to authenticate the signature or the seal."

I heard the news and it was like a punch to the gut. I'm truly saddened by the news of his possible death. He is too young.

He is a true fighter. Always a smile on his face.

Agree or disagree with his views and opinions is fine, but you know what his core beliefs are.

Those of you who are grateful that he may be dead, you are just full of class...NOT!

I guess it just shows how hateful you guys are and how much bias you guys have by being glad a person with a family may have died. You should be embarrassed for saying what you did.

It is always sad to see the death of such a young man. 57 is young.

I liked the man, I liked his manner and his tone. A person I could respect, regardless of his politics.

I would encourage members to discuss Ayman al-Zawahiri's life and possible death with respect. I would hope no one really wished ill-will or death to another human.

I am linking you to the thread below as a reminder of how not to react to news such as this.

Hypocrisy is funny. Ridiculing it with sarcasm is even funnier.

...because a war for corporate profit and control was in place September 10th, 2001, a pretext for the disintegration of freedoms and the middle class was needed and the big bad, good ol' USA needed a boogeyman to justify it all.
