Actually you don't know what the heck you're talking about.
We have very long intestines, too long for proper digestion of meat.
I was a vegitarian for 3 years, those were the best 3 years of my health ever. I was in tip top shape and able to run faster and longer than my friends, I had tons of energy too. Now since I've been eating meat I've felt all groged down and am rather weak, really fat and I keep losing jobs because of my poor health. Meat has destroyed my immune system, I'm going to try and go back to being a vegitarian agian and later a vegan. Read the Raw Foods Bible, then tell me your BS which you have no bases or support for.

Im so glad you read your booook. But it is actually YOU who does not know what you are talking about.
Humans are a naturally carnivorous animal - our consumption of protien is what allowed us t evolve large brains and move into the advanced state we are in today - this is an absolute FACT.

We are far, far better at breaking down meat and digesting it than any other cellulose (plant) based food. Animals which exist on plant matter (cows, vegetarian primates) have evolved mechanisms to deal with the cell wal of plants - bacteria in the gut (hence the distended stomaches of Orangutangs etc) multiple stomachs and "cud" chewing mechanisms such as cows. Chickens and other grain eating birds will consume stones which are stored in their Gizzards which allow for the grinding down of the cell wall and grains - we have none of these abilities as we are NOT designed to be vegetarians.

Now that is not to say that we should be eating the amount of meat we eat, or that being a vegetarian is not good for you - but to say that eating a healthy balanced diet is not as good as a vegetarian one is a complete lie -
further to say we are not meant to eat meat is the height of absolute ignorance. Utter clap trap.

Americans are well known for the exceptionally poor diet and this often includes far too much meat - which will sit in the stomach and intestines and rot - you need limited amounts of meat to supply massive amounts of energy - thats the benefit of being carnivorous - high protein, high energy, from little input - over eating meat which as we do is bad - we don't need it and convert it to fat.

You are fat, and lacking in energy because you have a poor diet and lack exercise - maintain a balanced diet and exercise is all you need.
Please resist from talking bollocks and insinuating others around you don't know what they are talking about when you are clearly not in a position to do so.
cheers,
audas

you have the opportunity to learn or remain profoundly ignorant - the isn't a chance on this earth you have read one thousandth of my intake - It is scientific FACT that we have evolved to eat meat - you biology and physiology is simply designed for this purpose and not as a solely vegetable diet.
You have read A book, I have read literally thousands - I have 5 degrees from Universities in Europe, Asia, and you with your one book want to re-write all of modern science ?
I am stating the facts - this is clear to all and sundry. I have no desire to belittle you here or big note myself, it is embarrassing, but education is important and you clearly are bereft in this department.
Go to the library and simply understand the physiology of animals - Carnivre, heribvore and Omnivore - which is what humans are....
Do some excersise jimmyjackblack.
