Alot of people like to run around saying "fasting is bad for you, fasting is evil and ignorance". Ususally they don't specify what they mean by fasting, but just say you should eat and eat and eat. Some people even have mini meals in between their main meals. Then you'd be digesting food all the time almost, you'd think you get more energy but you're also using too much of your bodies original energy to be digesting.

Fasting isn't just quitting all food and water suddenly and starving because you weren't ready. Someone who fasts trains for years in meditation and breathing, and physical training, and starts slowly. Like maybe Jesus, he probably slowly cut back on his food, started out still drinking juice maybe or eating wild locusts or whatever they had out there in those days, then finally switch to just water, and maybe eventually nothing for a time. Then he would undergo a near death experience and attain enlightenment. However, it isn't necessary to fast to attain enlightenment or a NDE, that's just the traditional way.

There's only one diet that has been proven to have an anti-aging effect, or slow the aging process , and it's a calorie restricted diet. It could be considered a beginning version of fasting even. What modern science calls "genes" is in fact the pre-natal Qi inherited from your parents. While the fetus is in the womb, it's acupuncture channels function internally and energy is absorbed from the mom. Now once a person is born, certain acupunture channels are severed and now need post natal qi to sustain them. You have to now take in post-natal enegy from outside the body. Breathing now is done through the lungs, food and water also have to be taken in from outside. But if you are always taking in food too much, you are using your pre-natal Qi to digest it, which is much more valuable overall than the post-natal Qi you get from food, water, and air etc. Pre-natal Qi is finite, so you don't want to waste it. All your bodies processes, like breathing, digestion, etc, require the bodies finite supply of pre-natal qi to be used. For example, you could look at a dog, which does not live all that long, it breathes very rapidly....but a tortoise, it is especially good at breathing and breathes very slowly, it can live much, much, longer. Ultimately the best way to breathe is with the whole body and even with each pore is the most advanced.

PBS article about the Science on aging and diet. Perhaps this could partially explain how people once lived to be 1000 years old in the past in a way modern people can understand better. PEople in the past had many methods of rejuvenation, including meditation, universal life energy, but also through technology and energy from crystals.

It's indeed true that as humanity, and it's understanding evolves into the new era, if human kind is to survive it will evolve into a fruitarian existence

Think of fruit which takes about 20 minutes to digest, and meat which takes 10 hours, and think of which uses too much pre-natal energy to digest

fasting works because it slows down the metabolisim eventually even slowing the cellular metabolisim making the cells work and age slower.

I say if you want to live longer eat lots and lots of fruit and get all of your antioxidents so you don't have free radicals running through your body wreaking havoc with your cellular functioning and even causing mutations in your DNA which leads to cancer.

Most people die due to inflammation fruit and phytonutrients decrease inflammation removing the main reason we die.

Anti oxidents and phytonutrients found in eating a wide variety of fruits. that is the way to live past 100.
