I have since seen another video with an almost identical craft in it.. I think it was in Chrisonabikes thread wanting videos to put on his site.

will see if I can find that one.
If we can compare maybe we can make a better determination on this one.

Not ALL ring ufo's should be debunked just because of THIS toy...right?

Unless there is a video of this thing actually in some air action i dont think it officially debunks all RING ufo's..

Im guessing you are just refering to this particular toy, not all RING shaped ufos?

There is a video of it in action it was easier to find when the story first broke out I will do some research and find it tommorow, but going off memory.. that is the same thing as what you see in the video.

Trust me hon, I am not a debunker, I have seen many things personally, but if we don't deny the hoaxes we only open ourselves up to more critcism and lose our credibility.

It's an interesting video, at first glance not at the same level as his previous ones, but once again there's a great camera-tracking work, and this time he has to add in post-processing the UFO to a video taken from a boat: NOT easy to do at all if you ask me:

There's certainly no lack of talent out there for creating stunning footage. This was created for entertainment and not as a hoax. Very well done, though.

With the addition of The hoax forum this thread is no longer necessary.
Mods, lock it up if that seems appropriate

It seems that a great deal of time has passed since this thread was originally created Perhaps we need to take some time to update so that the new hoaxes and fakes are easily identifiable to new members

Just came across the Drone thread several days ago. As much as I hate to skip to the last page of a suspense novel, can you kindly point me to the post that drove this intriguing thread into [Hoax!] category?

That is a good question. I have forgotten what the exact evidence of the hoax was, I do recall it was pretty significant though. Perhaps someone that was involved in researching his case will chime in.

Reading to the last page, I still don't see the conclusive debunking evidence. I'm 80% sure it is hoax, but the curiosity on who, why, and the how this hoax originated from is overwhelming. The sophistication of the plot and the level of attention to details rivals best mystery/suspense novels I've ever read
