I did read the thread. I included those videos so they could be in one concise place and readers could make a quick comparison. What is this? Pick on the new guy?

No, but we have a lot of members to trust, it is a little bit
bad to not trust them and try to come up with things that
have allready being stated!

If members say it is the same footage that romarek shoot
and have confirmed it, why waste space and time with things
we allready know

If you read the thread you will find a lot of people claiming
the same thing as you, but for some reason some people
here like to give the same opinion again and again, i think that
if you hade read the thread you will think stuf like, what can
i do to bring more to this topic

But in stead you waste space and time doing things all know..

I've just been informed this is the real video and have complied with the request to remove it.

Here is the email:

On May 30, 2008, a press conference was held in Denver, CO to discuss the Denver ET Ballot Initiative. Included in the press conference was footage of an ET looking in the window of Stan Romanek’s home in Nebraska. During the press conference the DVD was stolen. It has come to our attention that YOU have obtained a copy or the original footage from this DVD, and have posted it on YouTube. Law enforcement authorities have been notified, and a criminal investigation will ensue. The footage that has been illegally shown on YouTube is copy written, and no permission was given to broadcast this to the public in any shape or form. Let this be a formal notice to remove the footage, IMMEDIATELY, from any and all media, public, or otherwise that you or anyone that you know has posted anywhere. If you do not comply, immediately, further legal steps will be taken.

I agree with you there. If you have evidence that will stand up to scrutiny, you have no reason to hide it. On the other hand, if you're trying to pull a fast one, you need to hold back until the last second.

Yes, I'm a little angry they weren't more courteous in their request. I would have complied had they said, "Hey, gary, look that is a copyrighted video. We would appreciate your removing it."

Had that happened, I wouldn't have posted the email. As it is, I think you guys deserved an explanation as to why I pulled it.

It's BS, I can smell it. The advocate for this video is obviously not a good one for this kind of interest. He is more interested in getting attention so that he can be heard about his ideas on clean energy. He does make some valid points about the govenrnment. But getting on Letterman was proof that what he did was a ploy to get nationwide attention. He is using the possibility of extraterrestrial life as a front. Another hoaxer who should be put in his place. I can't point this out enough.

As much as I was a willing to allow there was something to the Stan Romanek story, I'm having to take a second look from a far more distant point. And I'll tell you, what I am seeing now is much less appealing.

When you look at the Extraterrestrial Affairs Initiative, it stinks. It stinks because the voters are being sold a dog in a window as proof of alien life and the worst part is:

The voters will be voting on this, never having had the opportunity to see that dog!

That stinks.

Council decided to put this Initiative on the ballot after a closed, or executive session, in which they, and members of the media, were forced to sign non-disclosure forms.

Now,they expect you to go to the polls and make a decision that could cost the taxpayers $86,000 a year, never having seen the same information they used to put it on the ballot.

What issue have you ever voted on that you were told, "You don't need to know?"

I can't find any.

That sucks that they sent that email. Oh well, it's been reposted about 4 times already. They're not going to be able to stop this video. I'm glad I downloaded your version since it's only been degraded by youtube once.

(edit - they were probably threatening you just to get you to remove the video. I doubt they'll take legal action. Hopefully they don't.)

I wouldn't want you getting any threatening emails.

I'm still not clear if this is a copyright issue. It appears that since Mr. Romanek entered it into public interest, as evidence on a ballot measure, it could very well be that the voters in Denver, have a right to see this evidence before they vote on the measure.

As a lawyer said to me today, "Don't you think, if council needed this information to make their decision, the voters need the same information before they make theirs?"

Common sense tells you he's right.

I see the reflection of a dog looking out the window. I just don't know about this one.

I think you have good eyes. It's a dog or a wolf looking in, or out, a window.
Someone mentioned it was on a Sightings program years ago and that was what the eventual conclusion was.

Gary, I'm certainly not upset with you. Great job finding the real video and showing it to us. I'm just disappointed, after all this wait, that it's a ...... dog. I wanted it to be ET, you know? (Even if he would've been a perv )
