Boscombe Down, Salisbury SP4 0JF
Call for Papers ~ ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS: DEADLINE EXTENDED TO 18th August 2008
Call for Papers
Guided missiles have had a long and varied evolution. Major trends have arisen from changing requirements and the development of new technologies for
propulsion, airframes, sensors and control devices. Network Enabled Capability (NEC) has added a revolutionary dimension. Weapon system designers
today have access to advanced multi-spectral seekers, secure navigation frames of reference, advanced autopilot architectures and data networking of
ever increasing sophistication.
A review of these developments and challenges is necessary in order to remain abreast of the technologies involved and provide awareness of current
developments. Papers are therefore invited on relevant topics such as, but not limited to, those listed below:
Complex Weapons (CW)
SPEAR (Selected Precision Effects At Range)
UCAVs, Weaponised UAVs
Supersonic and Hypersonic vehicles
Integration and update of legacy weapons
Propulsion, airframes, aerodynamic configuration
Sensors, guidance, navigation, and control sub-systems
Flight Control, Autopilots and Remote Flying
Warheads, Lethal Mechanisms, Target Effects
Mission control within the NEC environment
Loitering munitions.
Abstracts of 200 - 500 words typed and double spaced on A4 paper should be submitted by 18th August 2008. Selection will be made on the abstract
content and applicability to the final published programme requirement.
