I know we're heading into a recession and times are tough, and are going to get even tougher by all accounts, but is anyone else out there feeling like those in power are now stepping over the line and openly intimidating and bullying us ordinary working people? The governments policies seem to be placing my life in danger by enticing terrorist attacks, the price of gas and electricity is becoming unaffordable, soon a full tank of petrol or diesel will exceed the cost of the car you put it in, supermarket food prices are out of control and our politicians only response is to openly pick on the old, infirm and unemployed!
The future is bleak... The old will have to choose between food or heating, the courts will be full to the brim with those unable to pay their fuel bills and all I hear is that it is not the governments fault! I don't care who's fault it is, I , and millions like me, want to know how we're going to cope. What do you think?

I don't know why it is we don't take control of voting directly
We have the means via the internet.
What qualifications does a politician have to make economic decisions anyway?
I think when it comes to decision making on a national level, why not have the populace vote on it.
That kind of system would be virtually immune to corruption. And the people would get exactly what they wanted
Other country's wouldnt be able to bully or bribe our politicians.
Peoples issues would be addressed directly by the people.
National resources would utilized for the people who own them, not by multinational corperations.
We wouldnt be over paying a bunch of politicians to make bad decisions.

i had to do my own adjusting and that is to just be happy with the small things. im glad im able to just afford food, i ride the lightrail into downtown to get to work which has saved my wallet.

i work for the state of california so im extremely fortunate to not be bullied around by the private sector and their money making shemes.

i changed my lifestyle in order to adjust, i dont allow myself to feel guilty for buying food on the go, and i buy video games pretty much every other month in order to keep my in the house and content. thats my strategy.

I was born free and will remain so. This includes a knowing that my mind is free as well. No one has the power over me to push me down. I just keep on truckin'.

By the rise in food, electricity, gas and other stuff yes i feel somewhat "abused" if thats the right word, with the future looking pretty grim as prices will probably go up even higher. I have the feeling that some supermarkets are raising the prices on some products just because they know they can get away with it.
