(I apologize if my words are scrambled, or if I have a run-on sentence or two, I'm not used to posting topics at 4 in the morning.)

I'm posting this topic, hoping that I can get some information on people accidentally predicting something. Not necessarily something big, but something.

A good friend of mine has had such experiences, and I'm loosely trying to research the subject.

I'll call my friend "P." for privacy's sake.

P. lives with her mother and father, and at the time of this story, had a very sick aunt(who had been getting numerous tumors for many years). It was anyone's guess as to when she would pass away, though they all knew that it would be soon. One day, P. was laying on the couch, when she heard her mother leave to go see her aunt(P.'s aunt). Her mother did this daily, as she loved her sister, and continued to love her, even as she lost her mental abilities, her sight, hearing, and so on. On that day, as P.'s mother left, P. just thought to herself,

"Why is mom going to see [my aunt]? She's going to die today."

This was a thought that just innocently popped into her head, not really meaning anything to her at that moment.

When P.'s mother returned home, guess what? Her aunt had passed away while her mom was there. Naturally, P. freaked out on the inside, but said nothing to her mother.

She told this to me, and I thought it was interesting at the time, then as I thought about it more and more, it began to intrigue me to a level where I cannot stop thinking about it.

What's even more surprising is what happened later that week. P.'s cousin, who I'll call Jules, had been upset, and everyone knew he was sad about getting a divorce, and so on and so forth, and one day P.'s mother got a call on the phone upstairs(P. lives in her mother's basement), and P. heard a shriek come from her mother, and another thought popped into her head, "Jules killed himself." Once again, she blew it off, and she later found out that she was right.

P. just couldn't hold this is in, and needed to tell someone, so she came and told me.

What sparked my sudden interest tonight(This originally happened in May of this year) was that I noticed a member of this forum(I won't say who) had had a similar experience, though not about death.

If anybody here has had such experiences, I'd love to hear about them, as I'm trying to figure out what could cause this to happen. I am to inexperienced and young to do an official survey on it, so I figure that the wonderful people at this board is the best that I can do.

If you send me a U2U or an email, I promise that I will not tell anybody what you've told me, without your permission.

If anybody needs me to clarify on points of the story, let me know.

Love your thread,I think you are onto somthing and it seems lots of poeple do this sort of thing,Like when you know whos on the phone before you answer(not caller id!) or when some one comes to vist and so on.
I think when you are not trying to have predictions, they happen more, but many put it off to coincedance and dont even think about it.

I don't mean to offend, however...

When a cancer patient is just about there (I've been there enough)... You can see it coming..

Also, if someone screams in an empty home, it's easy to assume alot of things. Especially if this person was troubled. In my opinion, this person probably "saw" this person's death coming many times.

Bottom line, I am so sorry for you and yours, but there is nothing "abnormal" about the turn of events. This person probably wants something to blame, but its so much less paranormal.

People have feelings about those who about to go. Especially if those about to go show obvious signs.

All humans have psychic abilities, unfortunately they were severely discouraged by the Roman Catholic Church during the Inquisition and witch hunts which left an extremely negative and frightening association with such events amongst the general populous, not to mention an astounding ignorance. Modern attitudes and life in an ever escalating fast lane is also a hindrance to these experiences as they are more likely to occur during periods of quiet contemplation when alpha brain waves predominate. The pineal gland or body in the brain is believed to play a role in this.
If you are interested you will find books available on the subject which can guide you in developing your latent abilities. Meditation is also very helpful

I was going to state the same basic thing. My mother knew when my father was going to die as he had cancer. My sister was upset when visiting my dad with my mother, and Mom told her he was not going to die today, but in two days. She was by his side when he died in his sleep.
Cats also know when a terminally ill person is going to die. There was a special (I think it was Nature) on domestic cats and had a story on a cat living in an assisted living facility. The cat would go into someone's room and lie with them until they died. The scientists still don't know why, but it is comforting they did not die alone.

My experience is we were living in our house next to my parents... the people on the other side of her happened to be her first cousins.. they had pit bulls that were NOT to be trusted, yet they let them run loose at all times after being warned by other neighbors who had horses and cows that the dogs would chase after and intimidate... anyhow.. my son and I were sleeping in.. I had a Silky Terrier, "Lilly" that was 7yrs old and MY BABY... we had her for many years before we even had kids..so she was like our first kid... well she kept bugging me to let her out, we had a fence up in the backyard, but she very well knew how to get out of it.... So I got up, let her out and went a laid back down with my son... about 15 mins later, I saw this, for lack of a better word, "vision" in my head that one of the dogs got to her... about 5 mins later my mom called on the phone hysterical my dad had just found her and was taking her to the vet, he and her both were covered in blood...

what I saw was her lying on the ground with this dog standing over her, right next to a power pole that was in my moms yard.. I saw everything.. well after we had her to vet, they did emergency surgery, my mom and I sat and talked about it..she said she happened to look out of her window and see the dog standing over my dog like "I dare you to move" kinda thing... but it was just beside the power pole... so what I saw was exactly what happened...

she had 3 more surgeries after that one.. and sadly passed away on the operating table 6 months later
Ive had many of these experiences..but they all come to me within seconds or minutes of the events actually taking place...hardly enough time to step in and prevent the bad ones...

This topic interests me a lot,

Its the bain of my life sometimes having these experiences, I tend to get them alot and sometimes I wish I knew how to either learn more to be able to see more of each event,

Every time there’s a death in my family I get odd thoughts,

One evening woke up at 3.56 am, I have no idea why and I have no idea why I sat up and looked at the time, My uncles name came in my head and I got this feeling that something had happened, I though I may just be being paranoid, So went back to sleep,
7am came and the phone started to ring... I knew then that something was wrong, I don’t really get calls that early, I answered the phone and it was like they did not have to say anything I just sat there shocked, I asked them what time it happened and they said almost 4am, I got shivers down my spine,

Another was a photo fell from shelf and I just got this feeling that my other uncle had passed, My dad then rang me to come in to his house, I knew what he was going to say.. I walked in and my dad was like "oh someone’s already called you??" as I looked whiter than a ghost and tears where already in my eyes, I turned to him and said nobody has told me anything, But its my uncle isn’t it? He nodded and I just broke down,

I have also had it with bigger events,

The London bombings, I live just outside London and the night before I had a very odd vision, I seen Grey and pidgions and a train, It was like this flash of pictures but I could not work out why the heck it had come in to my head but I had this weird feeling that it meant something, so I decided to turn to my friend and say what I had just seen, just in case something weird happened, It was almost to verify it to myself,

The next day the London bombing happened on the underground train,
The pictures I had seen flash in my head began to make sense, the greyness of the under ground the Pidgions which overload the undergrounds here and the train which had a bomb in it,

When I first heard the re[port of a fire on an underground train I knew then that there was something VERY wrong and that it would not be a normal fire,

My storeys go on and on, I have these almost all the time, Things never seem to make scence until an event happens

Odd indeed and I wish I knew a way to even start to explain these happenings,

I believe one of us may be misunderstanding the other.

I'll admit that there was nothing abnormal about a cancer patient passing, but the fact that P. had predicted it the day that it happened is abnormal.

I'll also add that P. had had no contact(Phone, email, face-to-face, etc.) with her aunt, for a longggg time(Many years).

Thanks everyone for all of your replies =)
