Air Force officials say three ballistic missile crew members in North Dakota fell asleep while holding classified launch code devices earlier this month, triggering an investigation by military and National Security Agency experts.
The probe found that the missile launch codes were not compromised, but the incident comes on the heels of a series of missteps by Air Force that has put the service under intense scrutiny.

Officials called the incident a "procedural violation," and said the Minot Air Force-based crew had code devices that were no longer usable, since new codes had been installed in the missiles.

Can the Air Force be trusted anymore? Most of the Air Force personnel are probably good at what they do but the icidents are mounting. How safe do you feel knowing that these guys fell asleep with launch codes in hand? I dont know that I believe the codes were "no goood" since new ones had been installed?

I guess its better then them done there drunk with keys in the ignition.

Ok I know this is completely irresponsable etc...
But you need two codes the one the president has and theirs right?
Am I wrong?

I just dont see it as a big deal. Fire them and move on.
If Im wrong please let me know cuz Im not seeing the importance in all this?
